Activity surplus?!

Movement

Despite no cut this week, #1 Thomas Bolton was active in defending his WRs and reclaiming them back into his possession. First he defended his CCB flap, which was taken by Marshall last week. He struck back with a 27"462. His second was on BB flap, which was taken by Giulio earlier this week. Thomas smashed it, bringing it down to 34"523. It's nice to see Thomas hitting WRs, but when is he gonna play LC2?! Also active at the top was #2 Ben Stoneman, once again beginning to hunt for the crown. Ben hit five awesome PRs; CCB 1'24"385 + 27"638 Gods, DP1 55"728 God + 17"788 Myth A, and BB flap 34"663. His AF cut was kept to a minimum, but he did at least bring his ARR under 0.2 now.

#9 Michele Magnaterra had a modest 0.2343 AF cut, but really has nowhere to go anyway. At least he is close to becoming Myth B overall, right now sitting on 2.7. His cuts came from just 2 PRs, which is easier for Michele when those PRs are from 3laps, as they were. They were both strong times though, BC2 1'33"574 Myth C and BB 1'47"247 God. Coming up with a similar cut was #13 Matthew Ord, cutting 0.2032 but fell just barely short of passing Timur. Like Michele, Matthew didn't cut many times, only three: SR 3lap 1'41"172 Myth D, BB 3lap 1'47"003 God, and SG 3lap 1'10"162 Titan A.

All of a sudden, there seems to be a mad dash for the top 20, with numerous players crazily cutting there AFs. It starts off with #21 Nicolas Barco, closest to being the next top 20 player. He cut 1.1094 AF to jump over #22 Ted Kim, and is only 2pts away from the top 20, and knocking out Paul Gourdon to become France #2 in the process. In PRB he is already well into that, this week jumping another spot up to #12 with a 1.4844 cut. Next up is #23 Tim Shelbourne, hoarding his way to a 2.4375 AF cut to also move up one spot. His hoarding ways also earned his a rank-up, becoming Myth E overall, the 23rd person to reach the milestone!

The two bigger cutters moving their way up were #25 Marshall LeVett and #26 Lenny Andreev. Marshall hit a bunch of PRs, his most notable being his 27"490 CCB flap, which was a WR early this week until Thomas took it back. Overall Marshall cut 3.3282 AF, and is looking next week to enter the USA top 5, as well as become Myth E. Marshall did also cut 3.5000 in PRB, moving up four spots into the top 20 at #17! Even with the big week Marshall had, it was Lenny making the noise in this area, cutting off a HUGE 7.7657 AF, unheard of these days! Despite the huge cut, it only jumped him over three players because of a huge gap, but cutting like that again and he'll be sure to fly up! Like Marshall, he hit a bunch of PRs, 15 exactly. He also cut over a full point in ARR to boost from Titan B all the way to nearly Myth E, so expect him to reach that milestone soon as well.

Not to be distracted by the bigger cuts ahead of him, #35 Pol Gonzalez is still moving along. This week he cut just 0.5625, enough to jump up one spot. Pol did hit two new Myth times this week, on LM flap with 30"968 Myth E and FS flap 32"973 Myth C - his 5th and 6th Myth times. Somewhat in the same area, #53 Joep van Gelder cut a nice 3.8906 AF to move up two spots, but more importantly, passed former champion Miguel Rodriguez for the #3 Netherlands spot! Joep has a few more things to look forward to next week, like #2 Netherlands (0.7 AF to pass Steven Glen), Top 50 (3.3 AF) and Titan D overall (just 3 more ARR spots).

Rounding up the top 100 were the usually suspects, #64 Dallas Wilde -5.8437 and #69 Jay Kreeler -1.6563, as well as #82 Carlos Munoz -5.3590. Dallas' big cut moved him up three spots, Jay wasn't able to move up anywhere, and Carlos nine spots in what is a cluttered area. Dallas was the only of the three to get a rank promotion as well, cutting 0.4844 ARR to become Hero A overall.

Movement outside the top 100 included #103 Quinn Allely -4.8910, #135 Ryan Ortiz -1.1720, #140 Ben Sackville -33.0160, #154 David Roldan -1.9690, #169 Ivo van der Stap -14.6410, #181 Austin Gates -15.5150, #192 Thomas van Leeuwen -8.6870, #231 Marc Schwartz -10.2030, #303 Louis Nebout -33.9060, #336 Elliot Griffiths -23.5780, #353 Dean Collins -25.6570, #413 Jose Karica -42.0780, #556 Kevin Booth -5.6410 and #566 Zack Weber -15.3740.

New Records

There were 2 WR's improved (blue) and two non-prb times (pink).

The first battle started on CCB flap. Marshall continued taking his former WR of 27"643 down, going from there to 27"568 to an insane 27"490. Unfortunately for Marshall, Thomas struck back, hitting an even more insane 27"462. The second battle was on BB flap, with Giulio taking the WR down to 34"656. Thomas came up with another insane time, hitting 34"523 to crush Giulio's lap.

For nonprb, see above.

Awards

Probably the hardest time in a while for someone to get an award because of all of the activity, but this player was still able to easily stand out. He knocked off a huge 21% of his AF, very hard for someone high up like he is. He jumped well into Titan A overall as well. For his outstanding movement and performance, Lenny Andreev wins the POW for the third week of September!

Art homework fails.

Movement

Activity was on the low this week, the first active player not coming until #13 Matthew Ord. His 0.8750 AF cut seperates him from #15 Abel Marques to hold a bit more of a comfortable lead for UK #2. He still however has a long way to go to catch Milan for th crown. Matthew hit some great times; 4 Gods which included a sub 42 effort on MC1 with a 41"923, as well as a very strong F8C 3lap of 1'14"658 Myth A. Matthew is now about half an AF point behind #12 Timur Ahmad, and should look to pass him this week with similar efforts. First player with a cut on the PRB chart was also a #13, which over there is Nicolas Barco. He reported 2 PRs this week, strong MC times of 1'31"545 + 29"530.

#26 Marshall LeVett is still at it, taking off 0.4062 of his AF to move up a spot over #27 James Leare. His cuts came from 4 PRs, but the two awesome ones were his SR 3lap 1'39"339 God, and RR 3lap 1'56"765, beating his old nonsc record from last week by about "04. Marshall also hit a WR CCB flap of 27"643, but hasn't submitted it yet. Not far behind Marshall is #29 Lenny Andreev, who cut 2.0312 AF but did not move up a spot, as he works his way through that AF graveyard, which needs 4 more AF points cut to move up a spot. Lenny also hit 4 PRs this week, including PC 3lap 55"949 and BB 3lap 1'47"668, both Myth C. He also played some PRB, hitting strong SG times of 1'02"445 + 20"688, not nearly as strong as his nonprb SG times though. His PRB AF cut was a bit bigger than his NonPRB, chopping off 3.1094 to move up 4 spots.

As of earlier this week, #36 Pol Gonzalez became the new champion of Spain, so congrats to him! The spanish champ did it with a 0.7500 AF cut to pass over former spanish champ #38 Christian Martin Lapeira, as well as #37 Kevin Barbieux. He made the jump with just 5 PRs, including AF 3lap 1'47"907 and SG 3lap 1'11"337, both Titan D. Just because he is now spainish champ doesn't mean he'll stop, as he seems to be going strong and is well on his way to joining the top 30 as Lenny did recently. Pol is however ahead of Lenny on the PRB chart, and he did cut 0.4219 on that chart as well to move up one spot.

The last two active members of the top 100 were #67 Dallas Wilde -4.9844 and #69 Jay Kreeler -6.0781. Both seem to be active every week lately and are always getting great cuts. They have been moving up at a pretty fast rate - Dallas jumping 6 spots and Jay jumping 8 spots this week. Jay also cut enough ARR this week to become Hero B overall, while Dallas was already there and is closing in on Hero A. Both players look to have promising potential and should continue to move up towards the top 50 and overall Titan.

Movement outside the top 100 included #109 Quinn Allely -21.5310, #136 Ryan Ortiz -12.1090, #147 Marcus Whitley -1.4380, #158 David Roldan -5.6250, #173 Ben Sackville -20.9690, #180 Ivo van der Stap -33.3430, #191 Austin Gates -0.3280, #197 Thomas van Leeuwen -19.8440, #243 Daniel Pabst -6.4530, #245 Marc Schwartz -17.2350, #250 Haddon Power-Cohen -40.8740 and #482 Daniel Sampson -4.9530.

New Records

Late last week, Abel Marques took the DP1 flap with a very nice 17"079. A few days later, Thomas Bolton struck back, reclaming his WR and knocking down another epic sub with his 16"972; the replay can be seen here. Marshall continued to add in on his WR taking, this time capturing CCB flap with a 27"643, even with taking two MTs out! Marshall also once again took down his RR 3lap as mentioned earlier to 1'56"765.

For nonprb, Marshall hit RR 3lap 1'56"765 and CCB flap 27"643 which he hasn't submitted yet.

Awards

This player had a big cut of 21pts (15.1%) in their AF, and is strongly moving towards the top 100. They also made the jump from Expert A to Hero E. All of this coming off of a huge amount of PRs, 28 to be exact, including their 3 titan times (previously only had one). For their strong efforts and large PR activity, Quinn Allely wins the POW for the second week of September.

Pobre new World Champ?

Etch @ Wednesday, September 10th   [link]

Movement

#2 Ben Stoneman kept working on RR getting his non-prb times down to 1'57"489 and 38"683. He also got an excellent shortcut which ranks number three with 1'54"050. He ended up cutting a tenth off his non-prb AF and still has that small but large way before reaching #1 Thomas Bolton who woke from his slumber again with the first sub 17 on DP1. Still using egg1, he was able to break another barrier taking it down to 16"972. There is still the possibility Pobre sends in his new times but feels you guys are just not up to his level, ergo a waste of his time!

Not much else happening besides a few new times from #9 Michele Magnaterra and #13 Matthew Ord which moved them up zero places in the charts. #15 Abel Marques has been on a tear though reaching Myth D overall recently by coming up with a full AF cut moving up a few spots. His best work was on prb coming up with some great times like LC1 flap 23"347, SG flap 20"116, and DP1 flap 17"079! Also noteworthy, #22 Nicolas Barco reached Myth E overall thanks to his new times on SR with 1'41"517 and 33"032. Farther down, #27 Marshall LeVett finally moved up one spot working his way out of that big AF graveyard. Besides RR, he's been improving some other times to like WP 2'00"903 and 39"789, SR 1'39"399 and 32"656, and MMF 3lap 1'05"283. He did improve his RR non-sc 3lap to 1'56"804 and more recently 1'56"765 to keep センジュ and others off his tail.

Reaching Titan B overall not long ago, #29 Lenny Andreev exploded this week with his 1 point AF cut to move him past several players into the top thirty. He had his usual mix of new times but the only one that stands out it SG non-prb 3lap 1'08"803 ranking in at number two. Only 4 AF points back, #38 Pol Gonzalez is getting ready to take the title of Spain's #1 from test circle master #37 Christian Martin Lapeira. He'll officially do it next week when the new times go up so early congrats!

The last 4 active players in the top 100 did not come up with huge cuts but it is better than nothing. #55 Joep van Gelder and #59 Kevin Borne made cuts on the order of tenths so didn't go anywhere in AF or ARR. #73 Dallas Wilde slowed down a bit only getting about 1 AF point cut to move up one spot while #77 Jay Kreeler got almost 2 AF points cut bumping up three places.

Movement outside the top 100 included #121 Quinn Allely -13.8590, #146 Ryan Ortiz -13.0160, #162 David Roldan -19.5000, #186 Ben Sackville -2.2340, #190 Austin Gates -7.3910, #206 Ivo van der Stap -20.0940, #221 Thomas van Leeuwen -20.4690, #250 Daniel Pabst -4.2190, #258 Marc Schwartz -17.7030, #289 Haddon Power-Cohen -53.4220, #333 Louis Nebout -47.3130, #351 Elliot Griffiths -55.3600, #380 Dean Collins -12.6090 and #489 Daniel Sampson -7.7350.

New Records

There was 1 WR improved (blue) and one non-prb time (pink).

This week was another battle on RR non-sc 3lap because ステルス came out of no where to slightly beat Marshall LeVett's time with 1'56"815. Once again, he could not let someone else have this for long and drove a 1'56"804 to defend it.

For nonprb, Marshall set the RR 3lap to now 1'56"804.

Awards

Some strong times coming from players farther down this week, besides stepping into higher Myth ranks some close to WR's and jump into the top 15 is quite an accomplishment or this still rising player. For hitting some great top times this week and % cut, Abel Marques wins the POW for the first week of September.

Need More WR's!!! LOL ~ETCH

Whiners fail

Kevin @ Friday, September 5th   [link]

Movement

#9 Michele Magnaterra was slightly active this week, but more on the PRB side where he cut 0.5312 AF. He hit a few PRB times, but highlighting the bunch was a very strong 12"882 KB2 flap, ranked #4 overall. He did also have 2 PRs on the NonPRB side, with a LM flap 1'34"319 Myth D and SR flap 32"696 God. Right ahead of Michele on the PRB charts is Abel Marques, who had a very small PRB cut, but a slightly bigger 0.1406 cut in NonPRB to nearly starram #16 Josh Griffin. Another strong cutter in PRB who isn't too far behind those two is PRB #13 Nicolas Barco, who cut 0.6875 to raise up a spot, passing #14 Nicolas Gatti. On NonPRB, Nicolas barely missed out on becoming the 22nd overall myth player, landing on 5.5625 Titan A.

#32 Lenny Andreev had a nice 1.2968 AF cut jump up two spots, as he moves his way towards the top 30. His strongest PRs of this week were his two new God times of MC1 flap 13"318 and LC1 flap 24"005, raising his God total to five. Coming up with a similar cut was #38 Pol Gonzalez, who cut 1.3907 AF to move up two spots, and is now just barely 1 AF point away from taking the Spanish crown! Pol has been working towards this for a long time now, and next week may be the week he finally breaks through. Both also ranked up this week, Lenny to Titan B overall and Pol to Titan C overall.

Chugging along is #55 Joep van Gelder, having a strong week with a 3.7969 AF cut to move up another two spots. As always, he is getting closer to the top 50 and #2 Dutchie, and it shouldn't be too long until he accomplishes that. Joep did however finally become Titan E overall, one of the many milestones he'll achieve in the coming weeks. A bit further down, #74 Dallas Wilde is steamrolling along, having another huge week. This time he chopped off 10.0781 AF, and moved up 15 spots altogether. Dallas also had a strong ARR cut to land in at Hero B now. Rounding up the top 100 was #80 Jay Kreeler, who has also been consistently cutting his times down on his way upward. He sliced off another 3.1406 this week to move up five spots.

Movement outside the top 100 included #150 Arnaud Teil -2.7660, #162 Ryan Ortiz -8.9690, #187 Ben Sackville -60.1560, #196 Austin Gates -3.5310, #229 Ivo van der Stap -25.3440, #240 Thomas van Leeuwen -33.9060, #252 Daniel Pabst -6.0000, #276 Marc Schwartz -21.8280, #335 Haddon Power-Cohen -44.2500, #394 Dean Collins -30.3440, #410 Elliot Griffiths -8.5620 and #498 Daniel Sampson -1.6560.

New Records

There were 2 WR's improved (blue) and one non-prb time (pink).

The back and forth nonsense on RR persists with Marshall LeVett taking down the non-sc 3lap with 1'56"821. センジュ did not stop though because he hit the long expected sub 35 first with an awesome time of 34"695 which you can watch live. The party did not last too long as Marshall flexed his biceps to quickly chug out a 34"599 accomplishing this feat as well, just a little faster though.

For nonprb, Marshall set the RR 3lap at 1'56"821.

Awards

Another week of not much going on but someone near the top of the charts really decided to go on a pr streak. Getting plenty of top times, god times, and WR's, he distinguished himself from the rest of the crowd. Sure, he may not have moved up in AF or ARR rank at all but this can sort of be a consolation prize. For a strong week of kart, Marshall LeVett wins the POW for the fourth week of August, RR madness!

More players were active this month but with one in particular making large strides at the top consistently. Starting outside the top 100 and a mere Expert A, he quickly made a run to the top 80 and Hero B overall! With as many people on the site now it is harder to make these sort of cuts at the top so you know how much effort he has been puting into the game. For a great karting session, Dallas Wilde wins the POM for the month of August!
