#1 Thomas Bolton had a slight 0.08 point AF cut this week to get his AF score under 3.0 to a final value of 2.97. As usual he hit some new Site Records like 33.395 Shroom Ridge flap and 29.924 Mario Circuit flap. He's up to 15 Site Records now, an improvement of 1 over last week.

#2 Michael Fried was active this week with a RLC2 flap Site Record of 26.221, but lost 0.03 overall in the AF rankings.

#3 Sascha Brauninger had a nice week with a 0.3 AF cut and a Site Record on Peach Circuit of 18.337 among his PRs. It looks like he could stay at #3 for awhile with Michael Fried a whole point ahead of him and #4 a whole point behind him.

#6 Paul Gourdon had an awesome 1.2 point AF cut and several Site Records. He improved his F8C 3lap Site Record to 1:15.620 and has a 0.4 second lead over 2nd place Fabio Sacco there. His other new records included a sweep of Mushroom Bridge with times of 1:11.787 and 23.589. Paul is our Player of the Week for this nice outburst of records.

#10 Giulio Centrone had a great week with a 1.6 point AF cut and a Bowser Castle 2 Site Record of 1:35.014 to move up into the top 10.

#12 Milan Pacino, #13 Kevin McAteer, and #14 Jerome Francois were all very active this week with 2 point AF cuts for each of them. Milan grabbed a few more top 10 times with his 7th placed 28.871 flap on Cheep Cheep Beach and 9th placed 43.354 3lap on Mario Circuit 1. Jerome's best new times came on Donut Plains 1, where he's now ranked 9th and 7th places with times of 57.906 and 18.412.

#16 Thomas Rielly had a 3.2 point AF cut this week to solidify his top 20 ranking for the time being and work on catching up with Australian #1 Jerome Francois. Thomas trails Jerome by 2 spots in the rankings and 2.1 AF point.

#21 Mark Schmidt put together a good week with a 0.8 point AF cut to keep out of danger of losing positions. He also hit by far his best time this week, with a 2nd placed 23.231 on Desert Hills flap.

#31 Damien Jeunesse had yet another outstanding week as he continues his rapid rise up the ladder. This week it was a 3.8 point AF cut jumping him over the well known #32 Jeffrey Gutierrez. He trails site staff member #30 James Leare by 3.2 AF points though, which will be tough to make up with James being active this days.

#45 Sam Buchanan, #52 Josh Habben, and #53 Enrique Wilde all had great weeks with 6, 10, and 9 point AF cuts to move up a few spots each. Enrique is also our Mexican #1 player, although he doesn't have very much competition yet.

Honorable mentions go to #38 Amokrane Haddag, #48 Kevin Barbieux, #51 Louis Vivares, #80 Andrew Jones, and #98 Thomas Cronin.

Thomas Bolton takes #1

Sully @ Monday, June 19th   [link]

#1 Thomas Bolton had a 4 point AF cut this week to jump up 4 spots and just get by Michael Fried for first place!! Thomas holds 14 Site Records to Michael's 10 now, and a 0.3 point lead in the AF ranking. He hit all sorts of SRs this week like 1:27.355 / 28.429 on CCB and 1:35.486 / 31.261 on LM. Thomas is our Player of the Week.

#2 Michael Fried was also active this week but couldn't hold of Thomas. He lost 0.4 in AF but hit an SR on Choco Mountain of 36.419.

#3 Sascha Brauninger gained a spot this week with a 0.2 AF cut despite being leaped over by Thomas. He holds 9 SRs and took a few this week including a Banshee Boardwalk double of 1:49.017 and 35.936.

#6 Paul Gourdon also had a great week with a 3.0 point AF cut and a few SRs. He hit double SRs in Mushroom Bridge with 1:11.808 and 23.653 and improved his already amazing F8C times to 1:15.821 and 24.877.

Newcomer #10 Kelvin Castillo completed his set of times this week and joined the ranks at #10! We dont know much about him yet but he's got some great scores, highlighted by a 3rd placed 24.997 on F8C flap.

#13 Milan Pacino and #14 Kevin McAteer were both active this week with AF cuts of 0.4 and 1.9 points, respectively. Kevin hit a pair of 3rd placed times on CCB of 1:28.172 and 28.666.

#19 had a 2.3 point AF cut this week to secure his top 20 position a little bit but he's still only 1 AF point from fropping out. Its tough to stay up there.

#22 Mark Schmidt and #25 Eric Larson both had small AF gains of 0.9 and 0.4 this week to tread water in the rankings.

#28 Nick Welch and #33 Damien Jeunesse each had strong weeks with 6 and 5 point AF cuts. Nick moved up 3 spots in the rankings and Damien 4.

#37 Paul Collins had a 5.8 AF point cut this week and also hit his best time yet with an 8th place score of 31.803 on Luigi Mansion flap.

Honorable mentions go to #54 Cameron Tangen and #61 Josh Habben.

Happy Karting!

#1 Michael Fried had another solid week with a 0.14 point AF cut and increased his lead over both 2nd and 3rd place. Michael had a bunch of new SRs this week, including a sweep of Choco Mountain (1:51.325 and 36.502) and Luigi Circuit MKSC (1:20.542 and 26.268).

#3 Lars Stelzig was also active this week but lost 0.2 in AF despite hitting some SRs. He swept the CCB Site Records with times of 1:27.651 and 28.649. With the inactivity of #2 Miguel Rodriguez, Lars is less than 0.1 points away from 2nd place now.

#4 Sascha Brauninger had a solid 0.5 point AF cut and submitted some SRs as well. His Tick Tock Clock SRs now stand at 1:35.670 and 30.934.

#5 Thomas Bolton managed to stay just ahead of the competition with a 0.1 point AF cut and a new Site Record of 1:42.792 on Frappe Snowland.

#6 Fabio Sacco returned from a period of inactivity in a big way this week with a 2 point AF cut to jump up a few places. Among his site records, he took Sascha's 2 month old SR of 42.932 down, improving it by just 0.004 to 42.928. Fabio is our Player of the Week.

The rest of the top 10 was quiet, but #11 Giulio Centrone, #12 Yoann Seznec, and #13 Milan Pacino all had great week with AF cuts of 2 , 5 , and 2 points. Yoann's 5 point AF cut evened out his times somewhat and he has no site records or 2nd place times. His best improvements this week were to his Choco Mountain times of 1:53.237 and 36.905, which now both hold 8th place.

#15 Nicolas Outerovitch, a seasoned MKDS veteran by now, had a nice week with a 2.7 point AF cut and moved up a full 5 spots with that effort.

#19 Thomas Rielly had a great 4 point AF cut and also moved up 5 spots and into the top 20 this week. Like Yoann, he didn't improve his best times, but worked out some of his weaker courses and got a nice AF cut as a result.

#22 Brandon Yauch had a huge 8 point cut on the AF ladder this week. He's been sitting around the 20-30 range for a month now and if he can put another week like that together hopefully he'll move up into the top 20 as a reward.

#25 Eric Larson and #31 Nick Welch each had 1 point AF cuts with a solid amount of activity.

#37 Damien Jeunesse continues to climb the ladder after his huge 50 point cuts in the last few weeks. He had a 5 point cut this week and looks to keep climbing although it looks like its becoming more and more difficult. We'll see.

#47 Paul Collins and #62 Josh Habben each had 8 point AF cuts this week to work their way up the rankings. Paul hit a 6th placed score of 1:17.712 on Mushroom Bridge and Josh has a 3rd placed time of 1:14.739 on Desert Hills. Hopefully they'll be able to work on their weaker courses and jump up in the rankings.

The huge movers this week were #54 Richard Bowen and #85 Matthieu Le Galleze, who had AF cuts of 54 and 30 points, respectively!

A shoutout to the hard workers outside the top 100 who never get mentioned but still play the game a bunch to get their PRs: #109 Hani Habra had an awesome 30 point AF cut and #152 Jason Bates cut 19 points with their many PRs.

Honorable mentions go to #23 Mark Schmidt, #41 Amokrane Haddag, #42 Benjamin Brottes, and #52 Louis Vivares.

Happy Karting!

New #1 - Fried is back

Sully @ Thursday, June 1st   [link]

#1 Michael Fried, the original MKDS champion, cut 1.3 AF points this week and jumped over #3 Lars Stelzig and #2 Miguel Rodriguez to reclaim the title of site champion. He hit numerous SRs including YF records of 48.226 and 15.746 and WS SRs of 1:58.959 and 38.961. His SR tally sits at 16 now, 6 ahead of Miguel. Michael is our Player of the Week and May 2006 Player of the Month.

#3 Lars Stelzig was also active and hit a few SRs even though he lost ground in the AF rankings. His new records include WP 2:02.380 and RMC1 13.560 shocked

For the 2nd week in a row, #6 Josh Griffin was the only other top 10 player to manage an AF cut. His 1.3 point moved him by #7 Robin Mazzucotelli.

there was a lot more activity in the 11-20 bracket starting with #12 Giulio Centrone and #13 Kevin McAteer. They had AF cuts of 0.8 and 0.5 points, respectively.

#19 Yoann Seznec, #20 Nicolas Outerovitch, and #21 Tom Norton are fighting it out for the last few spots in the top 20. They each had AF cuts this week with Yoann cutting 0.8, Nicolas 0.1, and Tom 1.9 in a failed attempt to stay in the top 20.

#24 Thomas Rielly and #28 James Leare (our new times updater, thanks!) had AF cuts of 2.2 and 0.8 this week. James moved up a spot and Thomas moved down even with that strong AF drop.

We had some updating issues this week with a batch of PRs we missed and then some technical difficulties so I think the AF changes listed here are actually screwed up and account for 2 weeks worth of work by the players, hmm. Sorry about that.

Keep up the karting!
