01 March 2010: "Sky Garden shortcut?"
Movement

The top ten madness continues again with #5 David Roldan. His Non-PRB cuts were minimal, just barely inching towards the top three. However, he had a strong cut on the PRB chart of 0.6406 AF, once again moving ahead of #4 Abel Marques. Seven PRs were cranked out this week, all ranked in the single-digits, as almost all of his times are ranked. Highlights include CCB 1'24"237 + 27"253 and LC2 1'14"900 + 24"563. For anyone who reads the forum, they also know about David's work on SG flap, reinventing the strat with a new sc to haul in a new WR time of 18"757. David also became Myth D in PRB ARR, the third person to reach that plateau.

#6 Dylan Gaunt finished off the month with a 0.6094 AF cut, pushing himself a bit further ahead of the trailing competition. With over ten PRs overall, he is still pushing them out strong and shows no signs of slowing down. He hit many top ten God ranked flaps this week, including CCB 27"542, DS 29"352, PC 17"838, LC1 23"786, BC2 30"185, CM 35"339 and last but certainly not least, SG 21"168, also a new site record. Surely most, if not all of these were already Gods, but it still sounds cool to say. Similar cuts on PRB helped Dylan move up to the #7 spot there, passing French Champion #8 Florian Lorang. He is close to reaching Titan A overall on PRB, so he has that to look forward to in the near future since the next player is almost 4 AF points ahead of him, and he'll never receive a Non-PRB ARR promotion again (unless he reaches God?!).

#7 Timur Ahmad cooled off this week (probably to beat my MKSC times shocked) and had just a 0.1250 AF cut. Just two PRs; AF flap 34"786 God and PC 3lap 55"371. The PC 3lap site record seems within reach, so it's a potential goal for him, as another record with is name on it would look nice. Another German was active in #10 Leonardo Assisi. His 0.4062 AF cut further secured his top ten position, while moving somewhat closer to #9 Abel Marques. For a longer-term goal, he may go for #8 Sascha Brauninger so he can become #2 in Germany Non-PRB.

#16 Matthew Ord continued his utterly random comeback with nine PRs to result in a 1.5781 AF cut to move up two spots, which included passing #18 Milan Pacino for UK #2. His news times included nice double PRs on both WS 1'56"130 Myth A + 37"832 God, and LC1 1'12"358 God + 23"817 God. #21 Dallas Wilde was also active in the same area with a 0.3438 AF cut, highlighted by a SG flap of 21"268.

#29 Pol Gonzalez made a 0.5156 AF cut as he still doesn't gain a pot. Soon enough, a cut like that will move him up three spots, maybe sometime this month he can accomplish that. #38 Timothee Le Borgne made a 1.4531 AF cut to move up a spot. All the way down, #71 Stefan Mayr's 2.4844 AF cut moved him up two spots, and #95 Marcus Frenje made a huge 19.3280 Af cut to jump into the top 100 overall, becoming Hero B in the process.

Movement outside the top 100 included #215 Nicholas Harvey -7.7030, #286 Christian Wild -3.4370, #339 Daan Becker -19.3280 (Advanced E to Advanced D), #389 Andrew Howes -7.8120 and #610 Gabriele Magi -21.1720 (Beginner E to Beginner D).

New Records

There was 1 WR improved (blue) and one non-prb time (pink).

Many dawns ago, a possible sc was discovered on SG, but nobody ever experimented with it. It seemed that it wasn't possible, but David decided to disprove that claim this week. He worked hard at landing the sc well, and in the process landed a new flap WR as well, with an astounding time of 18"757, over a full second faster than the previous record.

For Non-PRB, the only record improve was coincidentally on SG flap. Dylan was in a bit of a PR battle with Dallas, and eventually ended up with a record time of 21"168.

Awards

He made a big AF cut in PRB considering his rank, reached a new rank promotion, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. What really made it a great week for him was his revolutionary strat to grab another WR by a landslide. For his innovation and continuing to rise to the top, David Roldan wins the POW for the fourth week of February!

Can't decide POM at the moment. It's close between two rivals, they should know who they are. Stay tuned!
