08 February 2010: "Jambalaya for all!"
Movement

There was some nice movement inside the top ten, which is always very fun to watch. #6 Dylan Gaunt is trying to secure his position ahead of Timur. In doing so, he made a 0.6094 AF cut, enough to pass over 2009 POY #7 David Roldan. Just three PRs from Dylan as he tries to maximize each cut, his PRs including a DP 3lap of 56"244 Myth D and KB2 flap 13"268. Similar cuts in PRB helped him move closer to a top ten spot, within about one AF point now of #10 Sascha Brauninger. As said earlier, he is running from #8 Timur Ahmad, who has caught fire and toasted everyone in his way. With a 1.2344 AF cut, Timur moved himself up three spots into the top ten, which included passing #10 Leonardo Assisi, making himself #2 Germany in Non-PRB. Of his eight PRs, half were top tens, and two were new German record acquisitions, those being CM flap 35"344 God and LC2 flap 25"649 Myth B. However, his best effort of the week came on SG 3lap, where he hit a record time of 1'07"899 God, proving he has potential to compete with the big boys. Both players fell just short of the milestone that is Myth A overall, and could very well reach it within the next few days.

#42 Stefan Peters worked on some SG this week with some decent cuts. He moved very close to passing #41 Lewis Benny, and another PR or two may do it for him. From there, the top forty is in sight. Possibly taking some time off from other karts, #59 Stacy Needham sported a random comeback, amassing a 4.6094 to move up six spots on the ladder. In the process, he also reached Titan D overall.

Although he didn't move up a position, #69 Marcus Whitley still had a nice week cutting 2.8281 AF. This now puts him within 5.5 AF of reaching country rival #65 Thomas Rielly. Getting his last few triple-digit ranked times into the top 100 would definitely help the cause. Lastly, #79 Stefan Mayr was active for the seventh week in a row, with a 3.9687 AF cut to jump up three spots. His only PRs of the week came from dual Titan B WS times, where he is hopefully utilizing the Kmacc Hill Clear Supreme!

Movement outside the top 100 included #223 Troy Dunbeck -3.5000, #296 Christian Wild -49.3280 (Advanced D to Advanced C), #397 Daan Becker -35.1250 (Intermediate B to Intermediate A), #405 Andrew Howes -6.6090 and #633 Gabriele Magi -47.6980.

New Records

There were no WR's improved (blue) but one non-prb time (pink).

Timur Ahmad just keeps on adding to his immense success this year, even if we are only a month in. In addition to his strong 2010 movement, he decided to add a record to his name. He played some SG 3lap, where he was able to just edge out the old record with a time of 1'07"899.

Awards

Another good week for this player, as he seems to be stealing awards left and right. He is back in the top ten for the first time since the beginning of 2008. He hit a bunch of PRs once again, adding a few more country records to his name, and even a non-prb record! For his climb to prestige and new record, Timur Ahmad wins the POW for the first week of February!
