| Movement It must be something about the holidays coming up but around this time of year, site activity sure picks up and most importantly at the top of the charts. #1 Thomas Bolton continued his WR shenanigans picking up the BB flap from #2 Ben Stoneman finally with 34"486 which is just 4 thousandths of a second faster. It's been nearly a year since we saw some action on DS but Thomas decided to challenge #4 Giulio Centrone again for these records. He came up big with a new flap of 28"868 and recently reported a sub 1'30 of his own narrowly beating Giulio's nice looking time with 1'29"973. No doubt we will see some new times from Giulio after such a karting sin as this! So far he has only submitted some prb times on KB2 with 41"200 and 12"897 moving him up to #5 on the prb charts. Ben was also getting things done this week in mkds finally reaching those elusive subs on WP. Who da thunk it? Back when egg1 was still the top choice, a kart change was laughable but most importantly damn hard to pull off. Surely the polt would be used before the BLS? After your run of the mill karters started subbing 40 with BLS, you knew it was a matter of time before a top player found a suitable strat and had the skill to make it pay off big time. It's been roughly six months in the making but Ben was able to produce the sub 1'58 and 39 times on WP. Probably best to watch the 1'57"989 and 38"989 to appreciate their true beauty. Both ending in 989, coincidence or destined to be by the kart Gods? He also improved some other times like DS flap 29"099, BP 5lap 42"921, and LC1 prb 3lap 1'11"399. #11 Abel Marques made his mark this week taking back the YF WR's! Yes, it has been a long time since we saw activity here but #3 Fabien Da Silva's times were on his hit list since Abel had the flap here before. First was that flap driving a ever so slightly faster time of 15"213. He later doubled the fun though and got the 3lap and a new flap to boot with 46"435 and 15"203! He also got BC2 3lap 1'33"590 Myth C but having some WR's again is much nicer though. Just another AF point until he passes #10 Milan Pacino on non-prb and less than that to reach #4 on prb! #13 Matthew Ord keeps cranking out the occasional pr's which moved him up to Myth C overall. Some rather top notch times including TTC 3lap 1'33"424 Myth A, flap 30"461 God, LC2 3lap 1'18"905 Myth D, and flap 25"940 Titan A. #20 Nicolas Barco improved his BB 3lap to 1'47"626 Myth B which was enough to finally take to take the title of French Champion on the prb charts where he is #11 now. Only 2.5 AF points left to take the non-prb title which would take him to the top 15. Who says slowly but surely can't win the race? Might as well mention it here, #23 Tim Shelbourne got a 1'32"193 on TTC 3lap. Holy crapz, is that like close to the WR? Why yes it is, the pattern that has been emerging recently is that some WR's are not that strong due to the lack of a serious challenge. Since updating WR's are my fav, it's good to see some fresh faces coming close to putting their mark on the game. Good luck with that sub 1'32 there dude. In the midst of an AF graveyard, #30 Zach Sterling got some new times on LC1 with 1'13"730 Myth C and 24"175 Myth B but didn't get anywhere. #39 Florian Lorang didn't move at all on non-prb but made a killing on the prb charts jumping up to #15! He got some solid times to get it done with CCB 3lap 1'25"827 Myth B, flap 27"751 God, WP 3lap 2'01"956, and 40"176 both Titan A. Like most cool dudes, he knows the men play prb. Closing up the top 50 are #44 Dallas Wilde and #50 Joep van Gelder. Each player moved up a few spots and cut around 2.5 AF points. Dallas though reached Titan C overall as he keeps steamrolling over his time sheet. Good times all around, YF god's with 47"468 and 15"544 to name a couple. Joep was able to make some cuts by not limiting himself to his better tracks, only more AF cuts will come if he keeps that habit going. Last but not least #57 Carlos Munoz -2.6876, #64 Jay Kreeler -3.4531, #90 Ben Sackville -3.8440. Just like last week, they each got some modest cuts with Jay reaching Hero A overall and Ben getting Hero C overall. Carlos is the balla of the bunch though by moving up to #33 on prb and is within striking distance of the title of Spanish Champion! Movement outside the top 100 included #110 David Roldan -6.0940, #121 Basile Boffy -7.5780, #139 Marcus Whitley -9.5620, #146 Andrew Mao -11.2500, #148 Haddon Power-Cohen -12.8750, #197 Robert Lee -7.0630, #208 Richard Penkalla -5.2810, #211 Dimitri Mentali -36.5000, #284 Elliot Griffiths -8.5470, #321 Michael Tunzi -53.9380, #325 Pavli Denis -65.0320, #341 Brian Smith -47.7190, #356 Nicholas Harvey -63.8590, #478 Daniel Sampson -16.2810, #501 Toni Leino -12.8900, #522 Kevin Booth -12.6250, and #535 Joe Loose -20.7820. New Records There were 8 WR's improved (blue) and seven non-prb times (pink). Ben Stoneman made headlines with his barrier breaking WP times of 1'57"989 and 38"989. Also in the mix was Fabien Da Silva who randomly appeared to take the LC2 3lap with 1'14"400, live replay :noel:. Thomas Bolton took the BB flap with 34"486 and both DS times getting 28"868 and most recently 1'29"973. Last but not least, Abel Marques got the YF times with first 46"451 and 15"213 but settled with 46"435 and 15"203. For nonprb, everything except Fabien's fabulous LC2 3lap. Awards Big improvements are all the rage near the top and some serious improvements just keep on coming for this player. Just at Titan E a month ago and he is already on his way to Titan B overall. With a bunch of God times to go along with that decent % cut, Dallas Wilde wins the POW for the first week of November. Need Even More WR's! ~ETCH |
