14 September 2007: "Switzerland's Revenge"
---
Movement #3 Fabien Da Silva saved up enough times to put himself ahead of #4 Sascha Brauninger in non-prb once more this week. Hungry for revenge, he took back four records he had once held and added his name to a new track. First up was YF flap where he beat #5 Cole Gilbert and #36 Abel Marques to the chase for the sub 15"300 with a time of 15"289. Next up is PG flap which went months unbeaten after #1 Thomas Bolton got his 28"082 there with egg1. In a highly unorthodox strat, Fabien decided to switch to the polt and performed the flap on lap two getting a slightly faster time of 28"052. You knew Fabien was itching to get MC1 flap so he took the BLS out for a drive and nailed the second sub 12"500 with a time of 12"473. The nonprb MC1 flap was not safe for Cole either with Fabien driving a 13"145, looks just like his BP flap time! Probably the smallest cut in a WR we have seen in awhile, Fabien managed to cut just four thousandths of a second off BDash's LC1 flap of 23"322 with a time of 23"318. Fabien also decided to do DP1 3lap nice and proper and gained the WR by hitting a very fast last lap, otherwise his splits were pretty even with BDash. Going to the right of the wall a little after the start and inside the pipe near the end, Fabien took the time all the way down to 52"533. You can watch all his other records here. Finally, Fabien took the SG flap from Thomas with 21"632 God. His other non-prb times included BC flap 36"866 God and BP 5lap 42"891 Myth B. With all these new times he had to get some ARR cuts and at last, a fourth player has reached Myth A overall, congratulations!!! #5 Cole Gilbert focused on prb this week getting five new times. Holding the site DP1 3lap prb record briefly, Cole got 53"096 and a flap of 17"385 to boot. In the process of learning LC2, Cole got a 3lap of 1'20"140 and flap of 25"632. Lastly, Cole got new 3laps on MC1 with 38"818 and LC1 1'11"995. #8 Ben Stoneman and #9 Josh Griffin were both active this week hitting lots of nice times getting them closer to #7 Timur Ahmad and #6 Nick Welch. Most noteworthy, Ben beat Thomas' FS flap to take the site record with 32"225, the WR still sits with シヴァ at 32"077. Some of Ben's times included F8C 3lap 1'15"010 Myth C, AF 3lap 1'45"997 Myth B and flap 34"779 God, MC prb 3lap 1'31"963 and flap 29"495, and LC1 prb flap 23"723 which is paired with his FS flap here. Ben is on his way to Myth C with an ARR of 3.8906. Getting closer to Ben again, Josh made a one point AF cut to close a once larger gap. Josh also hit his share of Myth and God times this week with Myth D's on F8C with 1'15"220 and 24"804, WP 3lap 2'01"662 Myth E and flap 39"906 Myth D, BC 3lap 1'56"720 Titan B and 37"430 Myth E, MC1 3lap 41"994 God, PC 3lap 55"961 Myth D and flap 18"119 Myth C, CM flap 35"892 Myth B, and dual Myth E's on CI2 with 49"594 and 15"961. Ben might have double the God times Josh has with ten but they are pretty close in the ranks and still have potential to move up some more, going for your USA #1 spot again? Right behind these two #10 Milan Pacino cranked out some new times this week and became the newest Myth ranked player at 5.1719 ARR, awesome! Some of Milan's times included F8C 3lap 1'15"660 Titan B and flap 24"728 Myth B, dual Myth B's on LC1 with 1'13"576 and 24"183, CCB flap 28"120 Myth E, TTC 3lap 1'35"263 Titan A and flap 30"766 Myth D and BC2 flap 30"571. He has a mix of top ten and top twenty times so he can climb the ranks farther if he balances some of them out. Next up, #22 Leonardo Assisi and #23 Michele Magnaterra. Leonardo continues to make some decent cuts and is approaching the top 20 along with Michele. Both are ranked Titan C and might make it to Titan B next week with similar cuts. Leonardo got his first God times this week and as you probably guessed it, it is on MC1 with 42"190 and 13"349 which rank #11 and #13 respectively. He is also active in prb where he is #20 getting 1'14"629 on F8C this week. Michele raced a bunch of new times including DS, WP, MC and four flaps: RR 39"813 Titan D, MC1 13"357 God, PC 18"111 Myth C and LC1 24"190 Myth B. Michele is #29 in prb and got new DP1 times this week with 54"538 and 17"757. Ahead of these two is #21 Sean Dyer who submitted some old prb times this week to place him at #19 in prb but he might lose that top 20 spot again with all the activity there. He had 16 new times but it only amounted to a 2.7969 AF cut. Regardless, quite a few of them were top ten times. #29 Jeff Ferencz-Nagy sent in some new times to hit a one point AF cut moving him into the top 30. Ranked much higher in prb, he was also active there breaking into the top 20 and passing Sean for the #18 spot with a one point af cut there as well. His prb times included F8C 3lap 1'15"891 and DP1 flap 17"549. He also got some nice times on CM with 1'49"887 and 35"884. Jeff fell short of Titan C overall at 8.5469 ARR. #47 Marshall LeVett managed a 2.2187 AF cut and inches closer to the Titan ranks remaining at Hero A with 10.7812 ARR. He faired better on prb with a 3.3282 AF cut where he is ranked #40. Most noteworthy were his KB2 prb 3lap 41"847 and CI2 prb times of 48"803 and 15"823. He remains behind Ted Kim on both charts as USA's #11. There was a trio of activity near the top 50 with #51 Chase Peleshaty -0.2032, #52 Egg Zip -3.8281 and #55 Erik Reynolds -4.0626. Chase and Egg are both Hero A with Erik reaching Hero B this week. Farther down and still rising, #68 Pol Gonzalez finally reached the Spain #2 spot, congrats! He had a 1.7032 AF cut and remains Hero C. Wrapping up the top 100, #74 Billy Gallagher -1.5625, #84 Joe Sweeney -4.1407, #85 Anthony Piraino -1.7344 and #91 Chuck Foster -0.5157. Billy remains at Hero C, Joe was already Hero D with Anthony reaching Hero D this week and Chuck is stuck at Hero E and #91. Movement outside the top 100 included #101 Julien Confetti -7.9370 (#2 Belgium), #102 Kyle Sproul -1.8750 (#30 USA, Expert A to Hero E), #108 Tom Webb -7.4850 (#9 Canada), #115 Dennis Molina-Yao -6.1250 (#36 USA), #116 Matthieu Van Reet -0.2340 (#4 Belgium), #159 Nies Romain -8.8120 (#27 France), #178 Joe Sebeny -15.3440 (#53 USA, Advanced B to Advanced A), #188 Carlos Munoz -0.6710 (#5 Spain), #195 Christophe Georges -2.2810 (#38 France, Advanced B to Advanced A), #221 Scott Kaforey -16.8440 (#66 USA), #226 Alencar Faria -21.6720 (#1 Brazil, Advanced D to Advanced C), #227 Vincent Guo -48.9680 (#67 USA, Advanced E to Advanced C), #277 Richard Lim -67.4680 (#10 Australia, Intermediate B to Advanced E and joins the top 300), #294 Copa Canbana -14.6100 (#101 USA, Intermediate A to Advanced E and joins the top 300), #334 Zack Serrott -33.0000 (#114 USA, Intermediate C to Intermediate B), #397 Pierre Kirner -0.8600 (#58 France) and #443 Kevin Pirrhyn -2.7970 (#10 Belgium). New Records There were 7 WR's improved this week (blue) and six non-prb times (pink). It was all Switzerland this week. Fabien Da Silva claiming five and Thomas Bolton with two. First up was YF flap where Fabien hit the first sub 15"300 with 15"289!!! Doubly insane was his 2nd lap polt run on PG flap which beat Thomas' time by just three hundreths with 28"052. Fabien struck back on MC1 flap doing his first BLS record here with 12"473. Just beating BDash by small fractions of time, Fabien took back LC1 flap with 23"318. Lastly for him, Fabien put together a near flawless run with the dry bomber on DP1 3lap hitting a 52"533. So what did Thomas get? Let's just say Sascha has no more WR's. Thomas took on YC once more and broke the 1'26 barrier with 1'25"951. He also took the flap under 27"800 with 27"789. Thomas has a total of 31 non-sc WR's so he almost or already has half of the WR's in mkds!!! Quite a feat since the competition has grown a lot since November 2005. As for the non-prb records, Fabien took YF flap with 15"289, PG flap 28"052, MC1 flap 13"145 and SG flap 21"632. Thomas got YC 3lap 1'25"951 and 27"789. Sascha is only left with seven non-prb records now. Awards A lot of people were holding onto some old times to submit but a few dudes managed to make some serious pr's in the last week. There wasn't any spectacular movement inside the top 100 with most of the attention directed towards the top like Fabien's hidden WR's recently. It was our top ten players #8, #9, and #10 where we saw lots of great times and players getting close to new Myth ranks or just joining them from last week. With a new God time and a whole mess of Myth times to go along with it, he had the largest AF/ARR % cut of the three so Josh Griffin wins the POW for the second week of September, nice job!!! Josh uses the Dry Boner!!!
