 What's new?

Hi ho

Alex @ Thursday, July 22nd   [link]

Movement:

Pretty much everyone gained a bunch of points in AF following the removal of certain individuals (see Proof Call post below) in the past few days, so "everyone" has made a movement. ;)

At the top end, David Grard is extending a nice lead over his rivals, getting close 3.0 in AF and is half way to reaching Titan B. Fernando Moritz, Alex Penev and Paul Tanney have been inactive this week, most likely taking a break and playing other games for a bit :)

Jonathan Steel continues to PR like his life depends on it, and is just inches ahead of both Prentice and Anderson, with Ziegler and van Dijke just over the next hill.

Olivier Lavenant, Marius Mollenhauer, Eric Belloni and Liam Benson have had a pretty good week as well, each cutting move than 0.5 from their ARR scores, and some insanely large numbers from their AF (-5, -8, -14 and -12, respectively) :O

Finally, Andre Wachsmuth has decided it's time to submit a new time for each course, catapulting him into 33rd in AF (from about 60something)!

Records:

David Grard was very active this week, taking down Peach Beach to 1'09"389, Dry Dry Desert to 1'32"370, both Mushroom City marks to 1'37"057 and 31"793, and finally Yoshi Circuit to a low low 1'42"947

Andre Wachsmuth improved his favourite track, Wario Colosseum, to 2'02"050.

Lastly, Jon Prentice is getting closer and closer to the God time on Baby Park, with 1'05"643, which seems to be just about the only track he's concentrating on, so expect another PR here soon.

All the WRs are getting pretty crazy now! :O

New guys:

Just one this week, Mikael Lundstrom, starting off in 186th place in AF. :D

Proof Call #2: Final Results

Derek @ Wednesday, July 21st   [link]

The final deadlines have expired. Here's the breakdown:

21 players have been validated
3 players have been frozen
5 players have been removed

"Frozen" players are players who seem to be in cooperation, but are simply unable to provide proof currently. Their times stay on the site, but they are not able to add new times until they are able to provide proof.

The removed players may come back at any time if they provide proof. We encourage them to do so any time, if possible.

And thank you to all the players that cooperated with the proof call. You've done a service to the entire kart community, as well as to yourself. Thank you.

For some of your upstart karters who have recently come on the scene with competitive times, start taping now. Your time is nearing.

"Yawn" its late

Proof Call #2, drawing to a close

Derek @ Saturday, July 10th   [link]

Hello again, just wanted to update everyone on the details of the proof call issued late May. At this point the majority of the deadlines have expired. I'm pleased to report that the vast majority of players met their deadlines. Here's a breakdown:

30 players were asked for proof.
17 have been validated :D
3 have not yet provided proof, but still have time (July 20 deadline for each)
6 are late on their deadline, but are believed to be in cooperation :doze:
4 never responded and are going to be removed :plain:

When the last deadlines roll around, I'll make the final proof report, giving credit where credit's due for all the players that generously cooperated. I'll also tell you what players were removed for failure to cooperate. Some of them will be disappearing in the coming week.

Notice to new players:
If you're threatening the top 50 or have a few standout times, start thinking about taping/capturing now. All players here must be validated!

New's Update

Paul @ Wednesday, July 7th   [link]

bonjour :P

Movements

Well Moritz have held onto his #1 spot for yet again another week, but Alex has piled on the pressure passing David Grard.Seeing that the top 4 have become inactive recently it gave a great chance for the rest to catch up, and so they have shown. Jonathan Steel has raced up the ranks making a change of –4.3 and making himself a top10 player for the first time. Also Prashant Bhoja and Paul Regeffe making some nice prs, giving them a change of -1.2 and –1.4,also Leo Bigorgne and Michael Fried make some nice prs to be in the top20. Outside the top 20 there has been huge activity, by Tory Waters (-2.9), Louis Nebout (-2.5), Matt Brown (-3.1) Marius Mollenhauer (-3.8) and also to finish off the fast improving Milo Pearson (-4.0)

New Site Records

Only 5 new site records this week,
Jon Prentice is still improving his DDD flap going down to 28’481 how much farther down can he go?
Also Fernando Moritz has beating Jon Anderson MB 3lap record by racing a 1’20’293  (TB) and also by taking a record from Alex making a God time 26’170 .
Alex eventually decides to play some DKM and got a record in a matter of days achieving a 34’450 :hehe: (TC).
When is Paul Regeffe going to stop playing BC (hehe) he is still winding his times down but has reached his target getting a god time on 3lap but racing 2’19’647  , and also knocking a tiny bit from his flap 45’837(TB).

New Players

We had 3 players joining our site this week they were

David Lalo (112)
MikJam Campbell
Andrew Vallely

David Lalo was the only new player to submit all his times , so therefore the other two don’t enter the ranks just yet.
A big welcome to the site you's three , and happy karting. :D

Au revoir ;)

New Month

Alex @ Thursday, July 1st   [link]

Movement

Not much change in the top spots. Fernando Moritz has maintained his top spot with a Titan C score. David Grard has edged Alex Penev and Paul Tanney for the silver position, and Richard Karlsson has passed the inactive John Anderson. The top 10's AF looks like this:
1. Fernando Moritz dos Santos 3.6875
2. David Grard 4.0313
3. Alex Penev 4.3125
4. Paul Tanney 5.3438
5. Rob Ziegler 7.4375
6. Richard Karlsson 7.5313
7. John Anderson 8.7813
8. Stefan van Dijke 9.3125
9. Stefan Baczynsky 10.8438
10. Jon Prentice 12.1875

Outside the top 10, there's a fair bit of movement going on. The biggest movers were Milo Pearson (85th to 34th), David Taylor (74 to 40), Tory Waters (41 to 24), Louis Nebout (37 to 25), Matheus Campos (108 to 82) and Leo Bigorgne (28 to 20). David and Louis earned themselves some awards as well.
Lately it has been the Waters-Nebout rivalry that has attracted some attention. They're ranked 24th and 25th in AF with 0.03 separating them, and are 18-14 on matchups. Too close to call for now :O

Records

Prashant Bhoja made a 1'16"409 TB on Luigi Circuit to retake his record from David Grard. On the same course, Alex Penev fluked a near-god 24"735 TA, with both Tanney and Bhoja promising to kick his ass
Richard Karlsson only made one WR recently, but a pretty scary one - 1'09"487 TB on Peach Beach :O
Jon Prentice seems to only be playing BP and DDD recently, and it's been paying off - 1'05"726 TD and 28"516 GD respectively.
Alex reclaimed both his old marks on Daisy Cruiser with 1'39"321 TB and 32"126 GD. He also edged Moritz and Tanney by a whisker on Mushroom Bridge with 26"224 TA. Paul swiftly replied by stealing his SL flap record with 24"268 TB.
Dutch new-comer Tomas Martini says he only plays YC, and has the time to show for it - 1'43"297, which beats Karlsson by mere hundreds.
Paul Regeffe gets closer and closer to GD on BC with 2'19"846 TA with two missed MTs.
Last but not least, Fernando Moritz dos Santos has reclaimed the YC flap with 32"909 TA, and beaten both the WC marks with 2'02"402 TC and 1'00"347 TB. Moritz also surprised everyone by getting both GD times on Rainbow Road with 2'58"370 and 58"556, in turn beating the suspicious Japanese scores and proving that we've got the best players anywhere.

Rumour has it that a new player has beaten the Grard/Nobuo marks on Mario Circuit. Check it out on the message board.
