Movement
One of the old French Army generals, #16 Paul Maes, decided to return after several years in exile. His first task was to raid his favourite Castle for 2 new PRs, and then battle in the Colosseum for two more. Paul passed ex-champ #17 Jonathan Steel, but remains the 5th ranked Frenchman. The fourth of the lot above him, #14 Tristan Eyma, is 1.6 AF pts ahead.
#65 Ivo van der Stap also considered a comeback. He started with playing WS, no doubt trying out various Borijn tricks, and made 2 big PRs. He wants to sub 1'40, so he says he'll keep playing. Ivo was last active 6 months ago.
Near the top-150, #151 Dan Walker and #159 Karina Villa were active. Dan passed three players; Karina got through eight players. #184 Paulo Roberto Presotto is distant -- about 30 places back -- but sort of in sight because he reached Expert A level, which Dan and Karina have. Paulo moves up 16 spots, breaking into the top-200. Liam Stanton is closing in on that same barrier, passing 6 players to reach #204.
Outside the top-200, Ben Davis continues to fulfill his promises of PRing and ignoring MKWii. He made a 21pt AF cut. Two fellow Americans around him, #223 Vincent Chen and #232 Ian Gee, reactivated themselves and raced some PRs. Ben and Ian reached Expert B this week, but Ben appears to be more active and may leave Vince and Ian behind next week. Instead, #243 Joost Coenen will keep them company. The Dutch player moved up 10 places to break into the top-250.
Recent addition #463 Bram Reitsma had reached the top-500 a few weeks ago. Being a Dutchie, we're just waiting for him to catch the PR virus. This week's 33pt AF cut was a little less than his 55pt cut when Alvin was newsreading.

MKDD is easier on my fingers than MKWii, despite the fewer MTs. I think I put too much pressure on the gas button, and it leaves a mark.

Movement
Activity is still low, with various people trying MKWii and others busy in study-mode.
#81 Andrew Johnson gained a rank, tying #81 Sebastien Legay. He is 3 standards away from becoming a Titan player, so we can expect him to keep going.
#154 Dan Walker is in a similar situation, currently just 2 standards from becoming the 151st Hero. He passed four players, including fellow UK players #155 Ian and #158 Patrick.
#167 Karina Villa took a break from MKDD for a couple of weeks, but returned to report over 20 new PRs this week. She passed rival #175 Andrew Howes for the top spot, and also passed #178 Leandro. Leandro is still in it, having the equal-most number of rivalry records. He moved up 3 places this week.
Leandro's Brazilian compatriot, #200 Paulo Roberto Presotto, moved up several places. He can't be any closer to the top-200 barrier than he is now -- one spot away. Another 0.5 AF pts will give him the lead on #199 Jeremy Huang. #210 Liam Stanton will also be looking for that same goal, but he needs to cut 7 AF pts.
#226 Matt Vanderwouw made a 91pt AF cut to fly 80 places up the ladder. He completed his timesheet by having all 32 records, so he's now on the main ranking. The skilled DKR player could set various goals from here, such as top-150 or top-100, but says that he has school coming up and will focus more of his gaming time on new games.
#240 Ian Gee has been having exams recently, but managed a few PRs. He cut 8 AF pts, but fellow US player #242 Ben Davis made up ground on Ian by cutting 17 pts. Ben joins Ian as a top-250 player in the process. #253 Joost Coenen is approaching the same milestone, needing another 2 AF pts to displace #249 Antoine Veylon.
Alvin perhaps doesn't remember #667 Simon Theodor, the young Australian who joined earlier this year. Although he likes Baby Park, Simon improved 27 PRs (not Baby Park) and cut 35 AF pts. He received a promotion from Beginner A to Intermediate D as a result.

4 updates in a row with a title about MKWii...

Welcome again. I haven't heard anything from Alex yet, so I'll continue until he says he's back. And finally: Movement at the top!
Movement (don't ask me why I couldn't get it yellow next time, because I don't know why!)
#1 (!) Richard Karlsson tied Hendrik Bunde again! Got a new SL WR (see the WR's section). Now all he has to do is break his tie. DKM f-lap, maybe? Anyway, he'll still behind on ARR, but who cares… Hendrik?
#124 Juergen Gerads made an impressive 28pt cut, passing 25 players and reaching Hero C! He made a comeback, improved ALL 32 times, and still isn't tired yet! I just want to tell you his amazing WS time: 31"689, which is #41 combined and #22 on 60hz, and also titan C. Great for a comeback!
#209 Paulo Roberto Presotto Passed all other active members around him (and in the rivalry) with a nice 18pt cut. If he continues for one more week, he'll get inside the top 100. #214 and #215 Liam Stanton and Alvaro Fababu are left behind. They need a good week if they want to follow him, but the battle between them is also exciting, because the difference between them is less than 1 point! But behind them, #227 Vincent Chen is also approaching with an AF cut of almost 9 points. They're all Expert B, so it might also be interesting to see who reaches Expert A level first.
And the last player is #259 Ben Davis. Not much to say about him this time, but he made a great 20pt AF cut and a 0.5 ARR cut since the last news update. If he can keep up with this pace, we'll get a new addition to the rivalry within a few weeks!
New Records
Richard Karlsson got his SL 3-lap back on 50hz. He improved it to a very good time. Wanna know it? Well, that's why I make news, right? The time's 1'14"040, almost a sub-1"14! It's also G+2, while the old record was G+1
New Players
Matt Vanderwouw (#678, Beg A). Somehow, Matt (Tanzer) didn't add his WC f-lap. Let's see what this DKR car champ can do.
