02 April 2008: "Nowadays it's all about who makes the best joke, not about fooling anyone. It's almost impossible to be fooled."
Player of the Quarter

I'll make a vote for it soon. It's not ready yet, but check back sometime before next week so that you can have your say.

Movement

#1 Hendrik Bunde got his first PRs in a month, scoring a few of new times on DDD. Not quite WRs, but close. 60Hz #1 Marijn Jongbloed also got a couple of new PRs, reducing his AF to 1.87 -- half of the next closest player, Hendrik, at 3.8.

#57 Arnaud Guepey is continuing to make his way past French players. This week he moved past Michael Galan, with #56 Stefan Baczynsky being next. Countryman #62 Florian Chollet is only a few places behind and active.

#85 Andrew Johnson is a step closer to cleaning up his old Guys and Dolls rivalry. With his 11 new PRs, he only has 2 lap records left to get to have all 16. Andrew Manning has most of the course records in the rivalry, but since Course Total is the only statistic AJ is yet to conquer, he will probably get some of those along the way.

#140 Alvin van Asselt was a big mover this week, scoring a 40pt AF cut (33 places) and become the latest Hero player. However, he says that he will be playing MKWii soon and might not get back to MKDD for a month. Top-100 will have to wait?

#206 Leandro Cavalli moved passing 4 players on the ladder. #215 Alvaro Fababu moved up 8 spots to keep ahead of Mark. #220 Mark Engelsman moved up 12 places and reached Expert B level. Interstingly, although Andrew is ahead on the ladder, he has fewer rivalry records smile

#227 Liam Stanton is in the same region as the above rivals. He reached Expert B and passed 8 players this week, but says he might not play much in the near future so I won't add him to their party.

#291 Joost Coenen started concentrating on scoring Expert times, reporting 27 new PRs this week. He became Expert overall and made the top-300. #314 Ian was caught complaining about it being hard to improve, but he managed to send in 29 new PRs for the week and cut 77pts in AF. He's not quite 300 or Expert yet like his Dutch competitor, but they're all joost around the coerner (sorry).

#368 Ben Davis has been raising some eye brows, strangely coinciding with the return of a certain boring ass... or board donkey... or something. On the pitch, he made a 88pt AF cut and moved up 81 places. Highlights include a top-250 lap in BP and a handful of Expert times.

#469 Nick Benson cut 23pts to move up 30 places, leaving his convenient 499th spot from last week for #499 Ian Broom to take over this week. Unfortunately, Ian failed to make a convenient cut in ARR and is only 2 standards away from getting the promotion from Intermediate to Advanced.

#639 Gary Ryan took a walk outside his England home and suddenly found himself in the UK, so now he's got incentive to fly up the charts with all those UK players to beat. Norwegian #628 Kim-Erling Bolstad-Larssen is the closest active player. Incentally, Kim-Erling passed Gary this week, as well as another 40 players. What's Gary's response?

New Records

No records this week.

Maximilliam Seger, Sweden (~530, Intermediate A).

Max should be ranked around 200th when he submits all of his times.
