| Movement Marijn Jongbloed became the new 60Hz champion, passing #2 Hendrik Bunde and #3 Marius Mollenhauer this week. He scored a few more WRs this week to give him a 0.6 AF cut. Currently he leads the two German players by 0.25 and 0.35 pts in AF, which isn't a huge lead but is enough to make them have to play if they want to pass him. Although he's ahead in AF, he's still 3rd in 60Hz ARR. But he did reach the Myth+ level (he already had Myth+ in 50Hz) as a small bonus. Andrew Math was active. Didn't pass anyone, but finally became a Myth A player. He increased his lead over USA #2 Bo Garman to 0.7 pts. #42 Scott Dufault still hasn't reached Canadian rival #45 Benoit Boudreau in ARR, but is right behind him and needs one more PR. He passed Thomas van Leeuwen and Andre Wachsmuth in AF, both of whom now lie between himself and Benoit. #88 Andrew Johnson passed 7 players, including his closest rival, Alessandra. Andrew has now taken the lead in the rivalry, and became a Hero A in the process. He has 8 Titan times so far, so that could be the next goal. #229 Andrew Howes made up ground on #227 Alvaro Fababu and #230 Leandro Cavali, and now all three players are within 4 positions of each other. They should all get a new title by next week, but I think the race-to-200 will still be on during March. #558 Pete Crawford scored 22 PRs for a 30 pt AF cut, moving up thirty places. He also reached Intermediate B. #591 Mark Polo, a player from the early days of MKDD competition, sent in 18 PRs in preparation for MK-Wii. The Canadian made a 34pt AF cut. Honourable mentions: #275 Paulo Roberto Presotto (Exp C). New Records Four new records. Again, they are all in 60Hz and belong to the top Dutch players. Aron improved the Baby Park 60Hz record to 1'04"222 G+3, which is 0"2 faster than Marijn and Hendrik. This time is 5th place in the combined charts, and Aron is the only player with a 1'03. On the same course, Marijn set a new lap record of 8"476. He's the only player to have under 8"500 in 60Hz, and this lap is slightly faster than what he has in 50Hz. Daisy Cruiser. Marijn already had the record, but beat it with a 1'37"165. It's a G+1 time, and 0"4 ahead of second place, which is Olivier Peruch's Myth+1 time from back in 2006. One more new record for Marijn: Sherbet Land 23"975. He's the first player to get 23s in 60Hz. The old record was Olivier's 24"009 from 2006. Marijn's new records bring him to a total of 9 WRs in 60Hz, reducing Olivier to 6 (Marius has 5 and Aron has 4). New Players Welcome to... Feng Rao, UK (469th, Advanced D). |
