| Well first off I would like to thank all of you who we asked to provide proof and cooperated. Derek should be filling you guys in with the final results of the first proof call... I think he might be waiting for 1 or 2 more players. Guillaume Bertrand has officially been removed from the rankings and will remain banned until he provides proof. As I understand it, there was a long difficult negotiation process that ended with Guillaume refusing to provide proof and then ultimately disappearing. As far as the last update goes Alex Penev continues his reign of terror at the top of the rankings and now has a total of 17 site records and a total 3Lap time that is pushing the 27 minute barrier at 27'05". Close on his heels now is 2nd place player Luke Mulders who has passed Malkinski (3rd) and Cesar (4th). John Anderson made an impressive move from 10th to 6th and Bart Janssen-Bouwmeester made an impressive climbing up 7 spots from 17th to 10th. Bryan Bosshardt continues his improvement and got close to (my prediction) cracking into the top 10. He did pass Geoff Patterson and Michael Fried to be the highest ranked player in the United States. Shaun Khoeis jumped into the top 20 at 15th place and Tory Waters barely made the elite group of players at position #19. Sorry If I don't track the movements of all 281 players... it's a bit of a task and something that will hopefully be made easier in the future with the new site design. But don't worry we have the yahoogroup archives and I can easily recreate the rankings for each update so when we go back and hand out awards for the first few months of the competition you won't be overlooked if you moved from 150th place to 30th place in one update. I'll look out for the little guys too. In terms of site records we've had some noteworthy records being set recently. Newcomer and MK64 WR holder, Fernando Moritz dos Santos set an incredible Baby Park Flap record 0'08"764* thanks to some video help from Scott Rogoff who also set an incredibly fast BP Flap. Michael Jongerius set a smoking 0'28"680* on Mario Cicuit Flap which is currently his only Site Record. Luke Mulders bested Alex Penev on Mushroom City with a 1'37"904* 3Lap and a 0'32"012* Flap. Luke also got a pair of records on Yoshi Circuit with a 1'44"195* 3Lap and a 0'33"592* FLap. Stefan Baczynsky got two new Dino Dino Jungle records this update with a 1'47"036* 3Lap and 0'34"632* FLap. Finally Alex Penev bested his own Rainbow Road 3Lap record pusing it even closer to that 3 minute barrier with a 3'00"869*. |
