SUPRISE!!! UPDATED!!! April 21st 5:38AM Pacific

Now we, the kart 64 team, are finally able to thank all of the contributors to this page. Kart 64 Players has been around for quite some time now, and really, we couldn't have done it without you all. This is our attempt at showing our appreciation for all of your help, even though words probably don't show our full gratitude for the amounts you have done for us.

In order to remember everyone, I shall do this in Chronological Order. Most likely, I will have to make many revisions before I finally remember a great deal of the contributors for Kart 64 Players. Thanx to the many people below:

Thanx Tyler Stobbe for getting me into SMK, which I thought was a silly game until you introduced it to me. Kinda amazing how all of that came about. In 1992, I saw the SMK stuff on Nintendo Power and thought how ridiculous it was, and never saw myself playing that game. I of course did not have an SNES, so I wasn't really inclined to do so. The golf kart prize was pretty appealing, but still. Anyhow, Tyler talked me into showing up at his place for SMK and Chrono Trigger. From those 2 hour experiences before Cross Country Practice, I grew the interest to play these types of games like SMK.

Thanx to the Cambellsville Boys for making me aware that SMK and Eventually Kart 64 is a game everyone in the world strives to be the best at! They are also one of many motivations to start a national competition for Kart 64. I guess I can also think of the guinness book of world records when I think about the desire for big competitions.

Thanx to the1996/1997 New Years Eve Resolution since of course, this is the very one that inspired me to try to be #1 in the world at something by the end of the year. Who would have guessed this would have actually came true, and the game being Mario Kart 64 on many occasions. Who knew that cause of this resolution that all of what you see is here before you.

Thanx to the Spireks, Hawks and many of the first kart pages. They made it clear that there would be an interest for who had the best time trial times. However, they never really estimated just how big this would be.

Thanx Salam Salhani for providing me with the benchmark to beat in Luigi Raceway. This inspired me to beat the ghost on Luigi very early in my time trial career.

Thanx Chuck Teschke for providing the first GREAT time trial site for everyone to post their times. Special thanx for allowing everyone to use your faces. You are an excellent graphics designer. I wish I was half as good as you are.

Thanx Gregg Gorczowski for showing me that there are people out there just waiting to dominate a game. I knew you were what I had to overcome in order to be the best, and I did.

Thanx Andy Launspach For first proving that my big March Madness Run wasn't quite enough to always be #1. Who knows, may have never played much after that without the defeat in May. Later on, you went on to make an improved site that got updated daily. It was great, cause once I got to know you good, I got to chat with you all the time about alot of things. Just think, this site first got the real competition to kart, and the later competition to come. Even more, most of the policys I use today had a great deal of what was done on this site.

Thanx to the members of the best Karting Circle Ever.... The Feared 4...
Andy Launspach, Jason Engel, Jason Whalls, and Kevin Booth! We had a blast beating everyone else and dominating kart like no other CIRCLE OF 4 may ever do again

Thanx Jason Whalls for many things. You were one of the main people that backed me during the Munchhole stuff, and have helped me in many ways. You were almost like a teammate in August against Indianola's Launspach and Engel. You helped me out with the strategies on some of my weaker tracks. Then you started one of 2 Official Elite Strategy Pages for Mario Kart 64 Strategies. After your retirement, you still did many things for me. You became part of the Diddy Kong Racing Team after I gave it to Stobbe, and then Stobbe couldn't update it anymore. You have also discovered many tricks for the game. You have made (or helped on) many pages that we at Kart 64 Players have built, and now, you still continue to do so.

Thanx Steve Austin for pushing me to my limits in Kalimari Desert.

Thanx David Landry for putting some creativity into kart by making the biggest poll we've had yet at the Nintendo BBS! You also had the kewl frog graphics for your name.

Thanx David Wonn for walking me through many of your hard SC's that I was inferior in. And yes, you have taught me too much. Thanx for showing me how to use certain glitches to my advantage. Also Special Thanx for being willing to be the town that hosts the National Competition (although it didn't go through first shot).

Thanx Mike Klass for starting me out with tables and graphics when I was first building my page. Without Mike, I would have NO Player's Page Today. He has also recently made me some kewl banners. Klass Rocks!

Thanx (believe it or not) to MUNCHHOLE... No, I'm serious.... He's the one that made me famous on the bbs, first in a negative way, but after awhile, I turned into the icon, and was the unofficial host of the room. He He He!

Thanx Jonathan Bernier for becoming my most successful recruit to date. Noone may ever match your dominance in the field of Kart. You also have helped me with some of my pages as well in the past. You have been my main competition after Andy retired and have inspired me to bring my game to the King level and beyond!

Thanx Dave Hines for your superb recruiting efforts over in England. You have sparked the interest of many talented Karters Oversees, including Peter Elsaesser, From Austria.

Thanx Iacopo Sorce for helping me reconstruct the POW and POM when I lost what I had down, and now maintaining the total times page. I also enjoyed your competiton in Netzee. We had some real fun there.

Thanks To Allen Crowley for co-developing "The Team Oregon Strategy" In Frappe Non-SC fastlap.

Thanx Nathan Johnson for being part of the Recruiting and Publicizing of the page.

Thanx Matt Horwitz For taking a chance on me. I guess you can say it didn't work out in the end the way it should have, but really, the site has never looked better, and I learned alot of tricks like using offline files and of course font and table styles that make my site representable today. Matt, you really did work hard and put many hours into a site. Everyone just doesn't get that you loved kart as much or more than the rest, and that is why you decided to join the team.

Thanx Austin Pierce for recruiting some players as well.

Thanx Mike Couch For The Great Competition on Wario Stadium.

Thanx VGHQ for providing me with this AWESOME SERVER to call Kart 64 Players' Home. VGHQ truly rocks, and I owe my extra traffic to you, and much more! (We have since made the move to Angelfire.)

Thanx Mike Simmons for maintaining the Times By Driver Site! This is a site that I always thought of maintaining along side of another time trial site for ages, I just never got going on it. I shall make sure to get everyone versatile!

Thanx Rene "REX" Elsaesser For finally making the NTSC site that put Andy's Site OUT OF BUSINESS! The Team(s) of Booth and Horwitz, Elsaesser (REX), Simmons, Bukrim, and other helpers now hold ALL the pages that are still in business in Kart 64!!

Thanx Brian Gallo For being the very player to finally elevate kart to the highest level. You also recruited 2 great players in Neil Marsden and Matt Batastini, that are both in the top 20 of all Karters! Never since Indianola, Iowa has their been a more talented Kart town. You also became a member of the team, and of course was a top advisor here. Much thanx to the Karter from Glen Ridge.

Thanx Myles Bukrim For becoming one of the most unique personalities in Kart. I know you had to prove your point when you left, but I understand that. You did bring alot of great things to kart, and that is why you will always be a part of the picture. You started the first CONVERTED top 25 page in the hopes of keeeping the interests of many karters. You got better with your HTML, and designed some stuff for me on the main page and other places. Finally you took the baton pass from Wonn great when you managed to recreate alot of the stuff Wonn was unable to, and even find some stuff on your own.

Thanx Michael Liem For that email with the question about rank. This one email along with the person I will mention next definitely had a huge effect on the integration of PAL players on my site. Later on, you helped be an advisor at many spots, and of course now that you are restoring PAL history, I will have much more to be thankful about. (NEW: Thanx for taking over for REX with the site, and making the current database, which allows one to do analysis way faster, and the statistical pages. Just like Dave, and William, you are also an irreplaceable member of this updating team)

Thanx Alex Penev For all your newest strats, and of course making some improvement on my charts in your own profile. Of course, you were also the perfect embassador to PAL along with Liem and Rene Elsaesser when it came to PAL integration. You also had some good diagrams for some strats in both SC and Non-sc.

Thanx Sami Cetin For The Many Recruites you brought to Kart 64 players, thus showing that this game is truly for all playing levels. Also, for designing the first "True spinoff page" of Super Mario Kart Players! I knew this idea would catch on, and it did. You definitely get historian honors for SMK! Seemed you use my tactics too to keep people playing :)

Thanx Jon Kretschmer You took over for Kart 64 Players, when things were not going so well in my world, and even though it was rough, and hard to stay motivated, you did manage, as a leaving legacy, to bring on a new designer, from the recruits, and you were the forfront for almost 100% of the Legends and Kings finally validating themselves. It's a hard job to be the leader of this world, but I guess someone has to do it, if I don't.

Thanx Dave Crawford For doing a great job with total times, once Iacopo retired from Karting activities. I sorta feel back about how you ended up getting the position, but I look at that list, from time to time, and I realize that this event happened for the better. You have been an irreplaceable member of this team!

Thanx Kris Milo For your role in distributing the proof tape of various karters, and of course myself! It takes quite a bit of out of pocket expense to do this, and of course time taken out of your day to do this, so I really do appreciate it. Also, you set up Miller with some movie making capabilities, and did a couple fun side pages that we enjoyed, from time-to-time.

Thanx Dennis Gutierrez For Designing the Main page, and alot of the current pages on the site. I sorta was a pretty hard person to work with designwise, cause I came in after Jon left, and expected alot out of you. Still, you did get a clean design, and even worked with Jason Whalls, to get the menus looking just right. Also, you made a microsoft works version of the ARR spreadsheet. You didn't do too bad job of news editing either.

Thanx David Tran For The "Tran Method" That revolutionized Rainbow Road!

Thanx Matt Batastini For maintaining Profiles, and Doing some analysis as #2 when I returned to action. Also, for your great work on Koopa Troopa Beach.

Thanx Keith Nichols For becoming a designer for this site, after Dennis got busy, and busting out countless touchups for many of the pages we have here.

Thanx William Lacey You have been the best Profile maintainer to date! I did not think it was possible for anyone to keep up on profiles, cause I have tried many different people, and they all eventually get months behind :) Once again, an irreplaceable member of this updating team.

Thanx Ben Miller For some graphical aids for the site, and the movs and dex ghosts he has busted out. Do I thank him for the Dex Discovery? Well, I think it still deserves a meantion, cause it did finally get the rate changed for the PAL players, so Kart can be thankful for that. Anyhow, he has provided quite a bit of Dex Ghosts to race, along with Simmons, Whalls and other Dex Ghost Owners.

Thanx Zeldagames.com For giving me my 2nd non-traditional home. You know as well as me that I don't get 150 unique hits in a day, but you still let me stay here, as long as I put up those annoying banners. Oh well, they are not near as bad as most the freesites, so it's a very minor inconvenience for being here. CLICK THE BANNERS FOLKS! CLICK THEM AT LEAST A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK! SUPPORT THIS GUY! HE'LL GO BROKE WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT!

Thanx Walter Day & Twin Galaxies So much for Chronological! Anyhow, these guys are amazing. I truly feel a part of a new gaming era, and he even payed me $250 for creating this site. Cause of him, all you people will someday have your times listed in a world record book. It has always been a lifelong goal for me to get in a book for holding world records, and now, thanx to the above, I shall now realize that dream, and you all can too!

Thanx PD/GE Elite You mean my players list idea can work for SHOOTERS? WOW, and your community reminds me so much of what we got here. Keep up the good work!

Thanx Steven Zwartjes & The Advisory Crew I first knew him as a competitior I loved to disilke, but later, a very unique individual. Once I was able to get passed the competitive stages, it was always nice to talk to you about Kart Related, and even some Non-Kart Related Issues. The Same thanx goes here for alot of others. Including but not excluding those not listed here: (Burbs, JWhalls, The Shadow, Gamester, Zeratul)

Well, I finally did it! I'm sure I forgot tons of people, so if you want to be listed here, you know how to contact me. Finally Thanx to everyone else for being part of the Karting Community, and a part of the history of Kart 64 Time Trials! You all truly make Kart what it is, and it is appreciated by all of us.
