Lucas Oliver hit another WR!!! Yea, everybody should already know that it's on MR 3lap. So beautiful, by only "01. He beat MJs 1st lap "02, had a bad 2nd lap loosing "06 against mj, but he got another great lap on the last one to beat mj again, this time by "05 to end with a time of 1'13"27* (24"38, 24"49, 24"40). Congratulations Lucas, we all know how hard you've fought to reach this.
We have some new names on this update, let's see...
One month and a half ago (april 28th) Karlo Tomazelli beat the CM 3lap WR lowering Vincent's time by more then 2 seconds, hitting a great 1'00"70 (23"42, 19"07, 18"21). Though it didn't stand too long, on May 8th Vincent Tolhuis managed to get his WR back, he lowered the old WR by "40, still not sub 1 minute (will any of these two guys get a sub 1 minute time?) but a great time of 1'00"30*! He destroyed Karlo's 1st lap by "54 and the 2nd by "26, but couldn't keep the close to perfect work and lost "39 on the last lap. Anyways it was an awesome time, congratulations VAJ!
Back to April, Vincent Tolhuis beat another WR from Karlo. This time on RRy sc flap (a super battle from the two sc top players). It stands now at 31"28*, but for how long? These guys seem to be untired here!Vincent Tolhuis came with another WR on May 12th, he tied Greg Ihnatenko's WR on DK sc 3lap at 20"92** (9"95, 6"11, 4"87) loosing much time on that last lap, what cost him the untied WR.
Finally on May 18th a non-sc! Luke Barnard untied the 23"10 with Lucas Oliver on MR flap. What? Luke Barnard? For those who don't know yet, Luke is one of the guys fromm the old "Hab Trio" he has been validated now. Eric Habrich is now 3 guys: Luke Barnard, Troy Ullman and Eric himself. Hence, they are now 3 different people on the WR page and not "Former Member" anymore.
Luke came with a great 23"08 at MR, "02 down! God, and once we though that 23"11 was close to perfect, old times... congratulations Luke on your 1st WR after the break of the validation.
Vincent Tolhuis seemed to be unstoppable on these weeks. He claimed another WR tie on May 21st but this time with a Karlo's WR. FS sc flap 5"01** is his newer WR on the game. 4 WRs in 3 weeks, what the hell is going on VAJ? Keep the great work man!
Lucas Oliver wasn't too happy to see his 1st and only WR on the game go down that way. He put much effort on MR (his favorite track) and on May 28th he managed to get a great new time on it's flap, lowering Luke's WR by another "01, it stands now at 23"07*. Where will this WR stop at? Will Luke left it for a while and let Lucas breath and play other courses? Let's just wait and see what these guys will do.
Finally on June 6th (1st WR this month), Karlo Tomazelli came back and recovered his number of WRs by 1. He untied the tie that he wasn't part of, on DK sc 3lap and he hit a great 20"63* getting close 1st and 2nd laps to the old WR from VAJ - 9"93, 6"28 -but got the difference, thus the WR, on the last lap - 4"42.
Well guys, that's it for now. I hope that you all, including me, keep the great work on the game and keep me busy, I promise that I won't wait that much to make a new update anymore. Break WRs because that's why they exist!
The colors are not currently working, however. We're working on it =)
As Michael's update said, this week had lots of people active! One person's activity stood out the most: after going through all the beginning ranks last month, this guy got a full new set of 32 PRs this week, passed more than 60 people and rose from Pro D to Elite D. John Falls Marshall is the Player of the Week!
GODs and Legends
As we all know by now, Luke Barnard, Eric Habrich, and Troy Ullman's times are back on the site and under their real names. Eric and Troy have incomplete sets, and their times were already listed under "Former Member", so their reinstatement hasn't had much effect on the rankings. Luke's return, however, has definitely had a big effect. He joined the site with his own full set of times at #29, and quickly got a new WR at MR flap of 23"08, breaking #9 Lucas Oliver's recent WR. Lucas fought back though and got a 23"07! It's amazing how much this record is being broken after so long being tied at 23"11.
Lucas and Luke may continue battling for their sole WR, or they may concentrate on going for GOD first. #16 Vincent Tolhuis has already made his decision: he's trying to become the second Universal GOD.
#22 Andre Hermanny continued his consistant activity. Another player definitely known for consistancy, #35 Finn Berger got a breakthough PR this week, after over a month of playing on KD. Finn still needs 3 improvements to reach Legend A...go for it!
#40 Robert Szabo has been picking up the pace this month. He passed 6 people the past two weeks and became Legend B. His rivals #48 Zoran Tintor and #59 Vincent van der Fluit were also active, with Vincent reaching Legend D. #54 Nathan Stinson also returned from activity and got a PR on one of his (and everyone's) weaker courses, MMF.
Kings and Elites
#80 Alan Walters and #89 Matt Nissenbaum continue to rise through the King ranks. Matt joined Alan at King B, but both will probably be Legend within a month or so. We'll see if they can do it before #107 Vincent Zee, who passed 23 people and became King D.
#115 Stacy Needham passed 8 people, including #117 Stephen Meakings, a fellow Englishman. That puts Stacy at 8th place in England, but Stephen submitted some PRs near the end of the month so he may not let that position go without a fight.
#139 Robin Usher also passed 8 people including a copatriot, becoming #2 in Japan. #146 Pat Bertovich got some new times on RRd. #159 Daniel Lesiak passed 21 people and became Elite B.
Two more people also became Elite B, #176 Timothy Klebetz and #184 Jacob McMillin. Timothy rose from Elite F, while Jacob came all the way from the Pro ranks in two weeks. They're pretty evenly matched at the moment, so we'll see if they remain close rivals as they continue to climb the ranks.
Sub-Elites
#265 Austin Gates passed nearly 100 people and became Pro C. #274 John Falls Marshall passed about 50 and became Pro D. #333 Alencar Faria is Semi-Pro D, #344 Florian Vaz is Expert B, #438 Stephen Klebetz is Advanced D, and #473 Caleb McMillin is Intermediate C.
Shortcuts
#2 Vincent Tolhuis continued his shortcut WR streak, this time tying Karlo's time at FS flap with 6"02 (5"01).
#25 Pat Bertovich passed 3 people and became King A by landing the spiral on RRd to improve his flap there.
#46 Robert Szabo was also active, although he wasn't able to pass anyone. #101 Timothy Klebetz made some more improvements and gained one rank to become Elite D.
