Saturday, March 10, 2007 - Rivalry Update - by Robin at 9:07 pm
Four rivals have been active since last update. Vincent Tolhuis did some work on MMF that most people are aware of by now, and also saw a return by his lifelong rival Josh Layne. Josh got GOD at CM and a drove a few new shortcut times as well. Josh has been away for a while so he has fallen a bit behind, but he and Vincent have already started trading rivalry records, so hopefully this rivalry will heat up again.

Over in the Kings, Matt Nissenbaum and Maurice Fleer have been battling a bit, probably trying to get enough of a lead to delay me from someday re-passing them. They were both active throughout, with Maurice just being a bit more active most of the time. About a week ago Matt sent in quite a few new PRs that gave him a nice rivalry AF cut and got his record count up to 9, but then Maurice continued to send new times, cancelling out Matt's cut and taking back many of the records. I believe this is the third update in a row that Maurice has stopped Matt from getting an AF cut despite Matt's strong activity.

First update of the new month. Quite an interesting week. The war on Moo Moo Farm continued with Karlo Tomazelli and Michael Jongerius grabbing the overall WRs. Legend activity is picking up with comeback times from Trystan Pugh and Sean Sullivan. Many more players were active. Alan Walters broke the 10.500 ARR barrier and is now ranked King F.

Monday, March 05, 2007 - 1st WR Page Update Of The Year - by Karlo at 3:01 pm
Hey everybody!

It's the first WR page update of the year because of a simple thing: finally someone resolved to put some effort on the game!!!

So let's go to what really metters...

VAJ did it! I think that it's not a surprise that this guy got his 1st WR on non-sc, he has been rising so fast (when he plays) that this time was already beeing expected for most of us. Vincent Tolhuis played a lot of MF lately and managed to hit a WR tie (1st of the year)on the flap. He had a 3 way tie with Karlo and Former Member at 23"40**!

One day after that Karlo Tomazelli was warned that VAJ tied him and MJ was also playing to get the PAL WR back on MF flap, afraid about loosing his WR, Karlo did what he needed to do. He broke the tie with VAJ and Former Member to estabilish a new WR and very strong, cutting "12 from the old one. Now it stands at 23"28*!
Turning it to PAL it becomes 27"99 witch is a very nice broken barrier!

What the hell people, it's March already and it's the very 1st WR done on this year? C'mon, give me some work already!!!

PS: I accept options for the 2007 color of the WRs on the WR Page, violet seems to be a bit gay.

After a bit of a delay the top100s and stats are now updated with the times from the end of the month february. Some interesting things happened in that last week of february. World champion Michael Jongerius returned from inactivity to snatch back the PAL WR on Moo Moo Farm flap in 28"18 (23"44). Things got even more interesting on this track in the first days of the new month. That's a story for another update though... Another comeback player is Josh Layne, one of the most promising karters from 2006. He got 3 new PRs and might now try to close the gap with Vincent Tolhuis, his non-shortcut rival in 2006.

3 King players had ranking promotions. Maurice Fleer made an insane ARR jump from 8.156 (King C) to 7.219 (King B) in only 4 days! Matt Nissenbaum reached King C. Stacy Needham reached King D. Thomas van Leeuwen got a bit closer to Patrick Hewson again. The gap is 0.5 ARR points now. Pat Bertovich and Scott Burtis were also active.

Pat Flor and Martin Rudmarker are quickly approaching the Elite ranks. Matt Ellis made a huge jump from #338 to #262 in AvgFin. John Kenny and Alex Hantson both made big jumps. Alex Hantson made the biggest jump of them and managed to pass Kenny on the AvgFin rankings (#421 vs #423).
