The PAL and NTSC world records and top25/top15 tables are finally updated! It's been a long time since the previous update, so there is lot of movement on the charts, especially on the ranking pages. I suggest you go have a look at it yourself!

- Rivalry Update - by Robin at 9:48 am
They're updated with times from this very minute. Andre Hermanny picked up a couple more rivalry records, Maurice Fleer took off and grabbed most of the remaining records as well as getting his AF under 1.5. Jacob Goldfinger took 3 records off his rivals, and it looks like he will win the race to King.

Week 1
Maurice Fleer made a comeback this week, with a few strong shortcut PRs and some nice non-sc cuts to keep him ahead in his rivalry. But his strong improvements were surpassed by Darius Austin, who was active nearly every day for the third straight week, and who cut another 13% off his AF and approached the Legend rank.
o_O
Week 2
Maurice was very active again this week, this time focusing only on non-sc and making a 10% cut there. Nathan Stinson also made a comeback to join the growing Anti-Austin Alliance, with both non-sc and some great shortcut improvements. Maurice's week was a little better though, so he gets this POW.

Non Shortcut

Movers and Shakers

We had quite a bit of activity this week, here are a few of the bigger movers:

Don't forget about...

Schortcut

Movers and Shakers

  • Nathan Stinson (+5 to #22, King A to Legend F!) I finally reached my goal of universal Legend by hitting Legend at both sc and non:D

    Don't forget about...

  • Maurice Fleer (+1 to #31). Maurice is rapidly approaching me here also! I'd better keep an eye on this guy.

  • Maurice Fleer (+1 to #31). Maurice is rapidly approaching me here also! I'd better keep an eye on this guy.

  • Another budding rivalry between Andre Hermanny (-1 to #41) and Robert Szabo (+2 to #40). Even though they were both active, Szabo pulled, well, a szabo (*zing*) and one-upped him!

    New Players

Still no new players, you guys really need to recruit more!

    PL Update Done!

I finally got excel back (and the motivation and time) to do a times sheet update, the first since June of this year!

Please, everyone, check the list top to bottom and make sure things seem correct, its way too large for me to check by myself, and I'd really like things to be right and get this list back into shape and its former glory.

If you know of people's addresses that are out of date, or if you know of people's profiles that are hosted at different sites, or locations that have changed, or ANYTHING, please Let Me Know!

The colors will be messed up for now, because the colors reflect times that have changed from June up untill November 7! I hope to remember to change them back next update:). Anyways, it feels good to be back, everyone keep karting!

    Week 4 POW
The race for Player of the Week this week was a close one between Robin Usher and Darius Austin. Both were active all 7 days and cut more than 10% off their AFs. With a few more PRs and a slightly larger cut, the award goes to Robin Usher.

    Player of the Month October
Richard Karlsson made strong cuts all four weeks, and ended up climbing from Legend F to Legend B, taking over 50% off his ARR and 33% off his AF. Despite a strong month from some other players, Richard Karlsson is the Player of the Month.

Thursday, November 01, 2007 - News Update - October - by Darius at 6:05 pm
Good evening, fellow karters, and welcome to another action-packed news update. I’m Darius Austin, and here are all the details of who was on the move during October.

Lucas Oliver was in action on YV and BB and he cut his times enough to tie the Godfather of SMK, Sami Cetin, for 8th place. The YV 3lap WR is within Lucas’ grasp now and getting it would also put him in 8th on his own. Andre Hermanny also hit some PRs, and although he remains in 17th, he has closed the gap to Tuomas Dunkel and sits less than 0.3 AF behind. Zoran Tintor continued on up the charts, moving a place to 29th, but it was Richard Karlsson who stole the show in the top 50, pulling off another hugely impressive cut. Richard moved up another 22 places and cut a third off his AF to finish in 40th, ranked Legend B!

Over on SC, Vincent Tolhuis turned up the heat on Karlo Tomazelli once more by hitting a new DKJP 3lap WR. Vincent continues to edge closer to that no. 1 spot; can he catch Karlo before the end of the year? Zoran and Pat Bertovic were both in action again towards the top end of the SC chart, moving up to 16th and 19th respectively. A blaze of red struck the 30s as John Falls Marshall and Willi Rossberg both made some nice cuts to reach 33 and 34. That meant that Maurice Fleer slipped down a place despite hitting some PRs, while Robert Szabo moved up 4 to finish two places behind him at 41. Jose Arellano and Tianyi Liu both made small moves to 180 and 186, while Lucas Oliver tried his hand at MR SC and flew straight in to 8th place, getting him to 275 on the SC charts. Marcos Vinicius Alves was the last mover on SC at 282.

Back in the world of nonSC, John climbed a place to 59th, while Andreas Rudmarker continued the MKDD takeover of the 64 charts with a 20 place jump that also got him to Legend just three months after he joined. Darius Austin thought it would be nice to write about himself again, so he decided to move up 42 places into 80th. Rival Matt Nissenbaum struck back late on in the month with a few PRs and kept Darius within reach by moving up to 86th. Just outside the top 100, their rival Robin Usher managed to PR AND go up the charts at the same time with a good cut of nearly 28 AF, finishing at 102.

It wasn’t just top MKDD stars moving up the rankings in October; MKDS no. 5 and Combined no. 6 Cole Gilbert got up to 137 with a nice AF cut of over 20. Jacob Goldfinger made a similar cut to put himself at 173, while in-between them Johnny Hengel went up 6 places to 162. Tianyi Liu had a similar cut to Cole and Jacob, reaching 197, with Thomas van Leeuwen just keeping himself ahead with some small PRs at 196. David Payne was also holding off a charge, his 23 AF cut just enough to stop Marcos’ 30 point cut from passing him, leaving them at 249 and 250 respectively. Alex Hantson, Jack Porter and Aidan Bayne were on the move at 315, 383 and 399, but Jose was the big mover in the lower half of the charts, slashing over 50 from his AF to climb to 401st.

Just two new players in October:

    Terry Doleschal – 537 – Apprentice D
    Alvin van Asselt – 574 – Newbie A

And that’s all for October, but who knows what will happen in November? Can Lucas break the YV 3lap WR? Will VAJ finally take down Karlo? Just how high will Karlsson and Rudmarker go? Will Robin ever be as good as me? I can only answer one of those questions now; for the rest, stay tuned for the next update!

    - Rivalry Update - by Robin at 12:32 am
Happy Halloween! Rivalry news, check it out.

Richard Karlsson joins the Legend + rivalry. He's quite a ways behind (since he's not really Legend +) but if he keeps improving at his crazy pace he should start stacking up wins.

Tianyi Liu joins the "Race to King" rivalry with a few rivalry records and plenty of potential to give the others in that rivalry a good fight.

The strongest activity was in the King rivalry, where Matt Nissenbaum, Robin Usher, and Darius Austin were all active. Robin made a nice dent in his rivalry AF and got his first rivalry record, but it was Darius who really took off, easily taking 3rd despite some late PRs from Matt. Can Matt's new crib help him take back 3rd, or will Robin pass him as well? Can Darius keep up his pace and contend with Maurice and Alan for 1st, or will he slow down? Tune in next time for all this and more!
