Week 2
Richard Karlsson had another strong week here, becoming Legend C and almost reaching the Top 50.
Week 3
The player of this week was my evil arch-nemesis, Darius Austin. He cut 13% off his AF and entered the Top 100.
And that's it, the POWs are up-to-date!
Player of the Month September
The player of the month was Andreas Rudmarker for slicing through the King ranks going straight from Elite A to King B and entering the top 100.
Week 1
This award goes to Richard Karlsson for a strong 10% cut beating out both John and Andreas's weeks.
Week 2
The big story this week was without a doubt Vincent Tolhuis, who suddenly went on a shortcut rampage and cut over .5 off his AF to come dangerously close to Karlo.
Week 3
John Falls Marshall had another great week here, with strong NSC improvement and a bunch of SC times that put him in a respectable position on those charts.
Week 4
This week featured a comeback from our MK64 News Writer Darius Austin. His new times moved him up past quite a few people and was the strongest improvement of the week.
Player of the Season Summer
In Summer there was one name flying up the charts every month, cutting his AF by nearly 75% and going from the Pro ranks in June all the way to Legend by the end of August. It shouldn't come as any surprise that the Player of the Season was John Falls Marshall.
Player of the Month August
This month we had a new player join us, and within two weeks there were already predictions that he could be the Player of the Year! For going very quickly from Pro to nearly King, Andreas Rudmarker wins this award.
Week 3
Along with Andreas joining we had another new fast improver come back, the champion of MKDD! Richard Karlsson cut 20% off his AF and ARR with 20 new PRs and so easily gets this POW.
Week 4
The best karting this week was on the shortcut side, where Maurice Fleer smashed some of his times for a nice jump well into the top 50.
3rd Week December 2006
Vincent Tolhuis wins this award for lots of strong new PRs including a SC PAL WR.
May Player of the Month
Consistent improvements throughout the month got Robert Szabo a 2.0 ARR cut making him Legend B and also Player of the Month.
Week 1
Vincent Zee wins the POW here with a nice 15 point AF cut and reaching the King ranks.
Week 2
Timothy Klebetz got himself to Elite this week with lots of new PRs so he wins this award.
Week 3
Jacob McMillin wins the POW this week for a massive cut from Pro D to Elite B, catching and passing his rival Timothy.
Week 4
This POW goes to Vincent Zee again for another strong cut similar to his one in week 1.
In the top 10 nonSC rankings, 9th-placed Lucas Oliver hit some nice new PRs to cut 1.2 from his AF. Although he does not move up any places, Lucas is now only just behind Kart legend Sami Cetin. Of course, Vincent Tolhuis made some PRs this month but he also stays where he is at 14. Zoran Tintor continues to impress this year, moving up another 5 places to 30th. The elder statesman of the Kart world, Finn Berger, has been playing again and made a few PRs, and just behind him Robert Szabo sneaked ahead of Steven Gutierrez at 36.
VAJ continues to close the gap on Karlo Tomazelli over on the shortcut rankings. With the gap down to just 0.35 AF and Vincent breaking PAL world records all over the place, surely it’s only a matter of time before we have a new SC number one? Watch this space. Zoran was also on the move here, jumping from 21 to 18 and pushing Pat Bertovich down to 21 despite Pat making some PRs himself. John Falls Marshall has been flying up the charts recently and his rise continued with some style as he leapt from 79 all the way up to 37. Despite John blazing his way past them, Maurice Fleer and Robert Szabo still moved up to 38 and 45 respectively. Karina Villa had a big cut, dropping 56 from her AF to reach 74 and Robin Usher went up a place to 119.
John was also on the move over in nonSC, not quite matching his SC progress but still climbing to 60th place. Just behind him, MKDD no.1 Richard Karlsson continued to demonstrate his range of Kart talent by finishing September at 62 after his huge cut in August. Alan Walters moved up 1 and Matt Nissenbaum 2 places at 74 and 89, while the MKDD players continued to demonstrate an impressive transfer of ability with MKDD no.4 Andreas Rudmarker absolutely flying into the top 100 at 91 after joining at 143 last month.
Outside the top 100, Daniel Lesiak moved up 5 places to 106, while a remarkably handsome news writer went up 12 to 122. Despite some PRs, Robin actually went backwards, thanks to Andreas’ jump, as did Pat Bertovic. Zachary Nelson, Cole Gilbert and Kevin McAteer were all on the move around the 150 mark, finishing at 147, 149 and 154. Karina added to her SC cuts with some nonSC PRs that got her to 190. Jacob Goldfinger had a nice AF cut of nearly 34 to move into the top 200 at 197. Outside the top 200, Guilherme Arantes rose to 377 and Aidan Bayne reached 402.
New players in September:
Marcos Vinicius Alves – 278 – Pro D
Theo Eisenstein – 432 – Advanced B
Jose Arellano – 470 – Intermediate B -185 SC
That’s everything from September; I’ll be back soon with more Kart news!
