On August 5th William Lacey managed to beat his own WR on DKJP 3lap again. This time he lowered it to 1'51"31 (36"91, 37"27, 37"19) even with a missed mt and others mistakes. It wasn't enough for him though, so on the same day he beat it again, now with a very respectable time of 1'51"10 (36"88, 37"17, 37"05). It seems that Lacey is finally satisfied with his WR.
One day after his DKJP 3lap WR, he beat Jamie White's only WR. William Lacey lowered DKJP Flap WR by "01 making the new one stand now at 35"46. This way he kicked Jamie out of the WR page and jumped from 7th to the 5th position with 2 WRs. I still hope that one day Lacey will play DKJP again and make some vids for us, I bet that everybody would enjoy that a lot!
Then on August 22nd, Vincent Tolhuis was able to brake the tie with Karlo Tomazelli (yes I'll talk in 3rd person =D) on RRy sc Flap hitting a nice 31"40 with a very lucky and fast 1st sc, was it enough to hold Karlo?
On the day after, August 23rd, Greg Ihnatenko also took a WR from Karlo. This time the victim was TT sc Flap, a "02 cut to estabilish the new WR at 29"92.
September 9th was a very happy day for the WR page, 3 WRs were done on it. Starting with another Karlo WR beaten, again Vincent Tolhuis. He got two nice laps followed by a sad one ending with 51"15 (16"93, 17"01, 17"21) time on MR sc 3lap.
The owner of the other 2 WRs on september 9th is Karlo Tomazelli. After loosing 3 WRs and getting farther from MJ on the number of WRs he should do something and he did. First Karlo got back his RRy sc Flap with a great time of 31"34 lowering +"06 from this WR. After that he managed to get his TT sc Flap back also, with a minor cut of "01 getting it down to 29"91. Nice fight for these WRs, we all hope to see more battles like this.
So, after all these broken WRs the only thing that changed on the Word Records Table was Lacey jumping to the 5th position with 2 WRs, this made all the people with 1 WR go down one position, now they stand at 8th place with a single WR. Karlo lost a WR but didn't move down on the list since he is far from the 3rd place. Vincent stayed with 2 WRs since he lost the RRy sc Flap tie but got MR sc 3lap.
Do not forget, WRs exist to be broken. So what are you waiting for?
Hope everybody liked my update. See you on the next update. Cheers.
Now with a new updater, me (Karlo Tomazelli).
Probably most of you know me, I am 1st on the sc rankings and 3rd on the non-sc.
English isn't my 1st language so you will probably find some errors on my updates, just ignore them and everybody will be happier.
This message is just a test. I am still learning how to put different collors and all this nice stuff on the post.
The page is up to date yet, soon the news will be here.
It's so good to be an updater, thank you Liem.
Let's break some WRs and give me some work people!
Vincent Tolhuis has officially declared war on Greg Ihnatenko. So far he seems to be winning, as he passed Greg in rivalry SC AF, rivalry NonSC AF, and therefore combined rivalry AF. Greg won a battle at YV flap, where Vincent's counterattack failed, but Greg was unable to conquer SL flap. Josh Layne also made some PRs, which could hopefully be signs of a comeback. He has a bit of catching up to do to get back to the top though.
Over in the Elites, everyone is still at war with everyone. Especially Robert Szabo. This guy went crazy, flooding YahooGroups with billions of PRs. These PRs caused him to pass the inactive Stephen Meakings and move into 2nd place. 1st place George Dimitriou was also active, but had a big setback in rivalry AF anyway because of Robert's improvements. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are all now very close, and I imagine they will be exchanged a few times by next update. In 4th place is Matt Nissenbaum, who was inactive for most of the week in Paris, but who came back right before this update with a bunch of PRs that gave him a small AF cut. According to him, it's just the beginning, so watch out MJ!
No change inside the top 20 at all since our last update, although Tuomas Dunkel did consolidate his 15th position by cutting 1.8 from his AF and moving closer to Steven Zwartjes in 14th. At 23, Vincent Tolhuis just held off Greg Ihnatenko, who moved a place to 24 and in turn avoided getting passed by Andre Hermanny, a man who has made a 7 place cut from 33 to 26 since mid-August. Jean-Francois Dubreil also climbed a place, passing Finn Berger into 33rd. John Santamaria is yet another player who rose a single place, into 38th, while rival Glyn Valentine managed 2 to reach 40th. Willi Rossberg emulated Glyn, moving from 46 to 44. There were some small cuts from Sean Sullivan at 60, but the big mover was Vincent van der Fluit, flying up from 131 to 70 with a massive 51.5 point cut.
Vincent Tolhuis is still continuing his rise up the SC charts, passing Alex Penev, Ben Miller, Steven Gutierrez and Myles Bukrim to sit in 3rd! Vincent is now only a fraction behind Greg Ihnatenko and after that, it’s only SC no.1 Karlo Tomazelli to beat. There was also a RRy Flap WR and a MR 3lap WR in amongst his PRs, and congratulations to VAJ for becoming GOD. Greg made a WR himself, breaking the TT Flap record. However, Karlo hit back at them both, hitting a new TT and RRy flap WR. Looks like these three could be battling this one out for a while yet. Andre added to his 7 places on NonSC with a 9 place jump here to get to 41st. These cuts have left Vincent and Andre at 7 and 21 respectively on the Universal AF rankings. Stacy Needham made a small jump to 46 and Justin Conway dropped his AF by 12.75 to get to 54. Robert Szabo sprang into the top 100 with a 30 place rise, finishing the month at 96.
Back to nonSC, and apparently, George Dimitrou and Steve Meakings think it’s funny to get just enough cuts to get a place ahead of me and make me play so I get back above them. I’m working on it. Anyway, George rose 3 places to 119, while Steve managed 6 to get to 120. Robert Szabo added to his SC rise with an equally good place jump here, up from 162 to 132. Matt Nissenbaum has now passed his rival Robin Usher, up 23 to 150. Justin added to his SC PRs with some nonSC ones that got him to 158, and Stacy made a good 31 point cut to climb to 164.
Outside the top 200, Stephen Grodek was among the movers, finishing at 284. Sam Cobb and Bobby Smith joined him with similar cuts at 335 and 343. Kyle Bradley’s foray into MK64 ended with a placing of 390 and some cursing of me. Nice to see I can help.
Seven new nonSC players this update, including the MKDD 60HZ no1!
Christopher Nguyen – 154 – Elite B
Marius Moritz Mollenhauer – 214 – Master D
Kevin McAteer – 224 – Pro B
Aaron Schwartz – 250 – Pro D
Patrick Hewson – 264 – Semi-Pro A
Zoran Tintor – 267 – Semi-Pro A
Cole Gilbert – 270 Semi-Pro A
And three of those players also joined the SC charts:
Zoran Tintor – 113
Patrick Hewson – 209
Christopher Nguyen - 283
In the Mid Legends rivalry, John Santamaria made a comeback after a month of inactivity. His PR at CM flap broke a tie with Willi Rossberg for a rivalry record. Willi was also active, getting a few PRs including taking the WS flap record from Glyn Valentine.
In the Universal rivalry, Vincent Tolhuis and Greg Ihnatenko continued their long battle. Vincent took the rivalry record (and PAL WR) at RRy SC 3lap early in the week, getting him past Greg for 1st place. Greg tied it back up, though, with Non-SC PRs at both KD 3lap and YV 3lap. Greg and Vincent are now exactly tied in rivalry AF and rivalry records.
The King/Elite rivalry was where the real action was this week. Three karters, George Dimitriou, Robert Szabo, and Matt Nissenbaum were all very active this week, each making great cuts and stealing records back and forth. George had the best cut, ending up with 4 more records than he started with, and passing Stephen Meakings for 1st place in the rivalry. A total of 8 records changed hands at least once this week:
KTB 3lap: Stephen --> George
FS 3lap: Matt --> Robert
FS flap: George --> Matt --> George
MR 3lap: Matt --> George
WS flap: Steve --> Matt/Steve tie
DK 3lap: Robert --> George
DK flap: Robert --> George
YV 3lap: Matt --> George --> Matt
Keep up the karting guys!
lol Darius I'm sorry :)
